He’s strong and physical enough for the PL, which makes him a good signing to complement Ricardo and Maddison.  And he’s a two way player.

He seems to have “good enough” touch and pace to contribute to the attack.  But not to create goals out of nothing.

So, more opposite than similar to Mahrez.  But likely to be a good value and a frequent starter.

The man is not a replacement for Mahrez the player but more his position. Puel said we need to distribute Mahrez’s contribution across the team... Maddison, Gray, Ghezzal etc. Ghezzal contributes in his own way but as a complementary player to others around him. We can not compare the two and need to move on from doing so.

I thought he did OK today considering he kept being triped up by Ricardo who was trying to play in his fvckin position

Another bizarre Puel decision...we were playing with two wingers...

... seriously though, two RWs and no RB is not my idea of a 3-5-2

He has a lot of skill in his left foot, but I wish he wouldn’t be so entirely reliant on it. He’s getting cornered by defenders who know that he needs to switch to his left before he can make something happen.

Hopefully, he will work on this in training to give himself a greater range of options, particularly down the right!

At least he is showing the right sort of grit and application we want!

Looks to be pretty average doesn’t he?

Were you there? Or basing your verdict on a shitty TV stream, or even worse a radio commentary? I was there, and the lad has quality. Shame it will be drained out of him by our 'fans' demanding Mahrez MK2.

I would imagine he's made his judgement from his armchair. Nothing new there.

Need to watch the game back to see how good/bad he was at covering Ricardo

Defensive does very little, which isn't good given he's in front of Ricardo.

We'll probably get away with this at home to Huddersfield but we can't keep doing it against many teams in this division.

Another reason we should play albrighton away from home .........

lol Your definition of bleating must be different to mine!

Yes I do rate Traoré and would have liked us to sign him. Ghezzal needs to improve but has shown some promise and will get my support.

Looks a bit like RM only taller though.

(I'm just not emotionally ready to move on yet...)
