Pleased for Ghezzal, in that his performances are shutting up all those who derided his signing, before ever seeing him in action.

Weren't you a little disappointed that to replace perhaps the best player that ever wore the shirt, we took a Monaco reserve that had failed there?  A player that their fans couldn't wait to get rid of?

I was critical of the signing, it showed a paucity of ambition by the club IMO, but if he exceeds expectations and tbf he has so far, I will be delighted and happy to say so.  It wouldn't 'shut me up' because I am a Leicester fan rather than someone who goes in for point scoring shithead-ery on FT.

I still think we should have aimed higher but lets hope he continues to impress.

Now, why don't you now open a happy for Chilwell/Mendy thread and see how many 'likes' you can harvest.

Don’t get too excited. One bad performance from him and he’ll be crucified on here

Bit like one reasonable performance and people think he’s the second coming of Mahrez.

I prefer a bit of balance. Hes shit.

Fans like him because

A. he does have a little quality and actually shoots

B. he does track back and defend

He is no Mahrez but then again he perhaps is the perfect person to replace him, from seeing that video of him being unveiled to his cup game debut no one I know really gave him much of a chance and we were expecting quality comedic moments but were surprised that he was decent and against Liverpool he showed he can perform at this level, even if he did do a funny foul that had us chuckling in the stands where I sit.

It’s obviously early early days, but so far, so far.. he’s looked the better purchase out of him, Jahabanaskh and Elynoussi, which is good. As I thought those other two would have been better buys. Hope he continues to prove me wrong.

Agree and let's give him time to see how he develops for us.

But can't help feeling we missed out by not signing Adama Traoré. He's looked very good for Wolves in his limited game time so far and looks like a real bargain at the reported £18m transfer fee.

Did we actually found out how much was paid for him ?? I think he cost less than half of those two :dunno:

Far too early to judge this signing yet, but so far, looking decent enough!

Some on here had judged him before he kicked a ball

That will be the first time any player was judged before kicking a ball then...

I find those who judge them after only a handful of games and calling out those who pre-judged, as bad tbh!

Looks to be pretty average doesn’t he?

Were you there? Or basing your verdict on a shitty TV stream, or even worse a radio commentary? I was there, and the lad has quality. Shame it will be drained out of him by our 'fans' demanding Mahrez MK2.
