It's just astounding how little they clamp down on time and time again. How obvious does the timewasting have to be before they actually act on it?

I'd be instructing all kinds of timewasting tactics if I was a manager and we were winning the game. You're almost certainly getting away with it.

Out of his depth. Bin him back to the lower leagues.

Even when they were losing with half an hour to go?

Weren't 1-0 up for that long either..

I do agree refs never really bother with the time wasting - sometimes you see them tapping the watch at a throw but no player ever gets booked for a slow walk off when subbed as an example.

Or even a goalkeeper doing the usual rolling the ball around.

But they do seem to get into a fuss if a team dares to celebrate a goal for too long...

A few of the Huddersfield fouls where there was only an intent to block or hold back the opponenet would be bookings with most other refs, the amount of those Morgan gets springs to mind, the the farse of added on time, we didn't need it in the end but at least three times the indication was that it would be added on but bull****, it doesn't. The situation where their player was refusing to take a throw was the sign of his lack of authority. He stood there like Hooks off Police Academy "Oh please can you throw it...please just throw it, please carry on won't you..", we were screaming "Use your authority ref - you're the ref not them."

Then the one where Maguire got studded, neither official gave it but then when Maguire stopped playing they felt obliged to do something, he asked the linesman "Did you see it", if he did there would have been an alert but no so but he shrugs and gives us the free kick instead of restarting with a drop ball - the right decision but arrived at accidentily.

Basically refs aren't consistent with what they call as a foul and what they let go. As a fan its infuriating, as a player I can only imagine how annoying it must be not knowing what the ref will let go

There was a point where Evans awkwardly fell, a free kick was given but he didn’t even ask Evans if he was okay to continue.

You compare this to when he completely stopped the game to check on Durm who was off the pitch !

The pull on the shirt of Maguire was ridiculous and he didn't even get his yellow card out. Everybody went mental too including other players and the bench.

It was a bizarre referring performance. I can accept a referee being bad for both teams during a game (consistently bad) but he wasn't consistent or inconsistent, he was just very poor.
