Vichai memorial opening and closing times

Can anyone provide details on what day and time the new site next to car park E is open to view the memorial and banners. 

 

I am not from Leicester but will visit due to the impact Vichai had.

 

I am amazed with how your city and club have coped with such a loss and wish you all the best in the future.

Aside from match days I think it's 10-4 on Saturday and Sundays

I was there at around 12 on a non matchday Saturday. Book of condolence was in the club shop at the stadium as opposed to the memorial site.

I presume there may be a temporary change of public viewing times on Wednesday, when Prince William and his wife come to visit.

I went on Saturday at about half 2 and it was shut - a lady from interserve said preparations were now being made for the Royal Visit and the suggestion was that it would remain so. Not sure if she was a club official though so I don't know how legit the info was. I'd check with the club first.

Taking a family member from outside the area today and he would like to visit the memorial area, assuming it is still open? 

 

Do you access it from the stadium car park, or do you have to walk down between the National Grid and Eon buildings?

You can't miss it mate, dead opposite the Poundstretcher entrance and down the long drive, down the side of E-on to car park E. You can't access it from the car park around the outside of the actual stadium. You'll see some of the shirts and tributes on the fence so just follow them down to the end and you'll see the flower tribute area. The marquee with the book of condolences is there too.

 No problem mate, think I might pop down before the game myself. It's still so beautiful to see and a really peaceful area for quiet reflection despite the awful circumstances.
