Really peculiar treatment. 

 

I don't understand the logic behind not playing him in his position. He's THAT good at the role that it is idiocy to not build a team around him. 

 

Chelsea have the resources to build a team that could dominate Europe if they used Kante and played him to his strengths. **** knows why he is being played in an attacking role.

I think Sarri knows a little more about football than us. Anyway, I don't think he was saying Kante is shit, just that in his system Jorginho is the centre of creativity. He picks the ball up from defence and because he's in a deeper position he should have more space and freedom to pick a good pass at the base of the midfield. Kante and Kovacic/Barkley are further in front so they can press higher up the pitch to win the ball back in dangerous areas. If you swap Jorginho for Kante in this system, Jorginho gets picked up, therefore limiting the benefits of his presence, and Kante sits deeper so he either has to win the ball back in his own half or he commits indiscipline to close down opposition attacks and if he loses that battle the opposition are through. Kante will continue to get better in the role he is playing, the guy is very talented as we all know.

He is better than Chelsea. He deserves a super power like Madrid or a move to PSG.

I still maintain that we saw the best of Kante, not Chelsea. It was the perfect combination of playing him in a two (where he's worth two men) and in a team that didn't have the ball the majority of the team. Perfect for him to get about the middle of the pitch and recover lots of possession.
