To be honest the scouts didn’t have to do much to unearth a guy banging them in in the lower leagues. Quite a few clubs were monitoring him but they were mostly put off by the price tag. Credit goes to whoever thought £1m was worth the punt on a scrappy raw striker with a troubled background already nearing his peak. The scouts have discovered the likes of Knockeart, Mahrez, Kante, Ndidi virtual unknowns and saw their potential.
Muzzy_Larsson Posted 11 March 2019 Posted 11 March 2019 I'm obviously very biased lol! But I'd say Henrik Larsson at £650k is up there with Vardy in terms of value and legendary status at their respective clubs. Can't think of too many others you'd say that are similar, maybe Cantona.
