Using data from Spotrac, once we finish our cull and have offloaded all of Jakupovic, Okazaki, King, Benalouane, Simpson, Kapustka, Fuchs, Iborra, Morgan, Silva, and Slimani we will pay 27,296,000 pounds sterling less in wages each year. Some of those wages would go back into new contracts for the likes of Harvey and Hamza, and hopefully necessary new signings such as Tielemans, but that is eye-watering stuff isn't it?

Some will go as their out of contact, others we need to hope will attract interest from other clubs otherwise they’ll sit picking up their pay cheques

If they are on a decent sum here, the likelihood is that we will still pay a good percentage of the difference between the wage at their new club and at ours. 

 

For example if Benny was on £30k a week, and Forest have signed him at £15k a week - we will be paying something like an additional £7.5k a week until the duration of his original contract at Leicester.

We won't... because the likes of King, Silva, Slimani and basically anyone else under contract will probably need to have their wages paid for to get another club to take them. Plus Morgan is signing a new contract.

Silva is having an excellent loan spell at Monaco tbf, can see him leaving this summer. King's contract runs out soon enough anyway, I don't think this window will be the final one in terms of cutting out the deadwood, but you're right that Slimani will be a big challenge to shift.

 

Edit: And its not set in stone that Morgan will sign a new contract, we will have to wait and see. It will surely be much reduced if he does however.

It's not information, it's guesswork.  Benny's contract would have ended in the summer anyway, as does that of King, Shinji, Fuchs, SImpson and Wes I believe.

 

Silva to Monaco is the big hope. 

 

Slim is the big problem.

Pretty sure that Wes's contract doesn't end in the Summer.....itk
