Got myself a beer. Then was told that it was my round and this would be the last round. ? Argument ensued where the three of them called me a tight bar steward. Told them to eff off and didnt speak to them for 3 months. I dont know what made me madder. The insult or the fact that two of them were under the thumb and had to report home. Its a bit of a dick move by the people you are with, they are the ones being tight when they know they wont be buying you a drink back.
Saxondale Posted 15 April 2019 Posted 15 April 2019 No such thing as tight people, just prudent people.
ozleicester Posted 15 April 2019 Posted 15 April 2019 Amazing how many people bitch about other people not participating in a "round" and complain "they" are tight...
Nalis Posted 15 April 2019 Posted 15 April 2019 Wonder if anyone has left a match after 81 mins and asked for their money back on the 9 mins /10% they didnt watch.
leicsmac Posted 15 April 2019 Posted 15 April 2019 Honestly don't get the idea of saving money/cutting corners as storied in this thread when there's not a clear idea of why you're doing it, as with a fair few of the examples. It's not like you can take it with you, is it?

To be fair, if done in the right spirit, with a bit of tongue in cheek, that could be great banter.
