stulcfc Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 i was hoping smith was going to start but ow well come on all 3 points!!!
Thracian Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 I don't jump on Thracians bandwagon, I'll judge him with my own two eyes. Same goes with the ridiculous hype built up around Smith by people on here. I've never seen Gold-Smith play but Ric Flair has seen a lot of football and if he wasn't brilliant against Derby then Ric must have been hallucinating. That being the case, at the very least, I'd want to know which beer he'd been supping to inspire such illusions. Oh yes, and I've read the opinions of Arsenal fans. Between them I can't imagine they're all wrong.
Steven Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 From the PNE site. PNE: Nash; Alexander, Davis, Lucketti, Hill; Mears, McKenna, Jones, Davidson; Agyemang, Johnson. Subs: Ward, Mawene, Etuhu, Sedgwick, Hibbert. Leciester City: Douglas; Maybury, Kisnorbo, McCarthy, Sylla, Hume, De Vries, Johansson, Gudjonsson, Hamill, Gerrbrand. Subs: Dublin, Henderson, Tiatto, Hammond, Smith
Jimmy Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 team is douglas maybury paddy mac gerrbrand nils sylla kisnorbo hughes hammil mdv hume
Thracian Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Douglas, Maybury, McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Nils Sylla, Hughes, Joey, Hammill; MDV, Hume. Smith's a bloody sub. Glad I didn't go cos I guessed he'd do that. What earthly justification would he have for not playing Smith. Hammill's alright but not a patch on Smith from what I've heard. Levein just never goes into a match flat out. He always gives the opposition a chance. No sign of Sheehan either, sadly. Seems like Levein is one of the few in the club and among the supporters who doesn't reckon he's our best left back. What a waste. Negative selection in my view. Too defensive and too neutral. If Preston do what Derby did in the first half the game could be all over before Smith gets a chance to influence things after half-time. Craig "Caution" Levein.
Jimmy Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 i could of sworn jon barber said kissy, but he's a prat anyway so he probly got it wrong
Steven Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 i could of sworn jon barber said kissy, but he's a prat anyway so he probly got it wrong According to the PNE site it is Kisnorbo.
Louise Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Thracian's team is the one they said on the radio. I imagine the bench will be: Henderson, Hammond, Smith, Dublin & Kisnorbo
Babylon Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 I've never seen Gold-Smith play but Ric Flair has seen a lot of football and if he wasn't brilliant against Derby then Ric must have been hallucinating. That being the case, at the very least, I'd want to know which beer he'd been supping to inspire such illusions. Oh yes, and I've read the opinions of Arsenal fans. Between them I can't imagine they're all wrong. He may of played well for 40 minuts at Derby. But since i've been watching football lots of players have played well for 40 minutes, Junior Lewis against Chelsea springs to mind. He may be the best City player ever, but he's got to do it over more than 40 minutes before I start screaming about him having to start the game like some have done.
Babylon Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 What earthly justification would he have for not playing Smith. Three wins out of four maybe. No sign of Sheehan either, sadly. Seems like Levein is one of the few in the club and among the supporters who doesn't reckon he's our best left back. What a waste. Look back over recent match ratings and see what our current left back has been scoring and what people have said about him. Leicesters "negative" fans.
Louise Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~734272,00.html OS confirms it is Kisnorbo and Joey rather than Hughes and Joey. Barber makes a mistake shock
Louise Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 So the actual team is: Douglas Maybury McCarthy Gerrbrand Johansson Sylla Kisnorbo Gudjonsson Hamill de Vries Hume Subs: Henderson, Dublin, Smith, Tiatto, Hammond Phew. Bloody rugby, none of this would have happened if they weren't playing
Blue Arrow Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Well I'm just saying, he looked very impressive when I saw him. He desrves to be given another chance. I agree Smith has been hyped up, I haven't seen him, so I don't know what he's like. I hope the likes of Ric Flair are right about him though! Smith is a it like C. Ronaldo tricks pace etc.
brookfox Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Said in the Sporting Blue that Smithhas had a bit of flu this week. Explains why he's on the bench, hopefully he'll get a good 30mins. Come on!!!
BenFilbert Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 So the actual team is: Douglas Maybury McCarthy Gerrbrand Johansson Sylla Kisnorbo Gudjonsson Hamill de Vries Hume Subs: Henderson, Dublin, Smith, Tiatto, Hammond Phew. Bloody rugby, none of this would have happened if they weren't playing I'm happy with the team. Smith will come on. I think it's better for us if he comes on as a sub. He will give Preston a bit of a shock when he comes on in the 60th minute.
Gené and Tonic Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Crap team. Where's Williams? Where's Sheehan? No Smith in the starting line-up Only good part is that he is giving Gerrbrand a chance. Prove me wrong Craig!
Thracian Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 He may of played well for 40 minuts at Derby. But since i've been watching football lots of players have played well for 40 minutes, Junior Lewis against Chelsea springs to mind. He may be the best City player ever, but he's got to do it over more than 40 minutes before I start screaming about him having to start the game like some have done. Quite understand that but Hammill's played more than 40 minutes and both in first team and reserves I've never seen him as anything particularly special. He's just okay. Given the chance to play someone who sound's special (and he destroyed City's Reserves in an earlier match) I know what I'd do. And if he's NOT better than Hammill what on earth is he doing here on loan? I would NEVER be negative unless it was absolutely unavoidable. It's been bad enough being without Smith for three matches of a ban without leaving him out some more. By the time he gets on it'll be Christmas and he'll be on his way back to Arsenal. Levein's doing what he usually does. Approaching the game with caution instead of going for the throat. Hope it doesn't backfire but it'll serve him right if we lose a nailbiter.
Thracian Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 This is the team for definite Douglas. Maybury, Gerrbrand, McCarthy, NEJ. Sylla, Kis, Joey, Hamill. MDV, Hume. No Smith but I assume he is on the bench. Fat lot of good listening to the f.....g radio. Do they ever get it right?
Babylon Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Smith is a it like C. Ronaldo tricks pace etc. Except he's on loan at Leicester, not rated as one of the best players in the world, not played in a European Cup final and not worth £20mil... must be just like him.
Babylon Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Crap team. Where's Williams? Where's Sheehan? No Smith in the starting line-up Only good part is that he is giving Gerrbrand a chance. Prove me wrong Craig! Have you not noticed just lately we have been doing fine without them. I read all these comments before both the Coventry game and the Cardiff game, people were proved wrong then!! Give it a chance before you start moaning.
Muz Posted 29 October 2005 Posted 29 October 2005 Played Craig. He obviously is gonna smack Smith on around the 60th minute to shake things up and ignite the game
