Trip to Hampden at the end of Oct for the league cup semi.

Hopefully the 5pm Saturday slot and not the Sunday one.

Anyone but Celtic, although we will be rank outsiders whoever we get.

I keep hearing that the reason the away fans are banned in the Old Firm matches are down to "a minority". How accurate is this? @Vacamion as a neutral with axes to grind on both sides would probably be a good voice.

My tuppence worth:

It's probably a minority that are actually active in causing the trouble, but the clubs and police will be scared stiff that it escalates. It wouldn't take much for a larger group to get involved at a game.

Herd mentality.

A relatively new phenomenon for the police to deal with are the Ultra groups. They are not sure whether to leave them alone or intervene.

I actually think it suits both clubs and police to have zero away fans.

The lack of away fans doesn't stop the sectarian songs getting belted out.

MoN was getting an earful yesterday but everyone turns a blind eye.

I would echo a lot of what @CWC1983 said.

The actual trouble over recent fixtures is mostly young lads, faces covered, learning tricks online from ultras elsewhere, all trying to out-do each other.  Probably a few coked up, too.

It all seems to have escalated a bit in recent years and trouble has broken out away from the grounds and in the City Centre.  Both general disorder among each fanbase "celebrating their culture" and a few actual running battles between opposing fans.

The sad fact is that among the fans who don't initiate the trouble, many of the rest have grown up with bigotry, sectarian songs etc and wouldn't let their daughters marry one of the other lot, so if the young lads start kicking off, it wouldn't take much for the rest to join in and defend their own, and for it to escalate very badly.

With such high risk and potentially severe consequences, I can't see much prospect of away fans at the league fixture for the foreseeable future.

Whenever they play each other at Hampden,  as a consequence of the Hibs v Rangers fight in 2016,  they are policed in great numbers.

It's all a sad reflection of Scotland's Shame.

Hibs have let David Gray go, real shame but the right decision

And he didn't half babble on ;-)

I specifically came into this thread to post that it was time for David Gray to SAY HELLO to his P45 and WAVE GOODBYE to his job, or that he's watched his job SAIL AWAY,  and then I get in here and you've already posted something miles better than that.  You git    lol

Should have moved him on at the end of the season. Very poor transfer window. My son is excited at the prospect of seeing Steve Clarke down Easter road but I had to explain to him that he’s shite

Brilliant win, can't remember the last time we won away..

Our CEO also left today to please some of the fans. His WFH from Glasgow didn't go down well....😅

Announced Adrian Bevington as CEO today, ex Boro, Ex England.

Seems a bit of a coup, and his 1st sentence was about relocating to the city with his wife.....😅
