'Guiding lights' – Leicester City to enter contract talks with title-winning duo

Recommended Posts

It just goes to show that it’s not Just what they do on the pitch, it’s what they add to the club off it. I think that’s why they kept Ben Hamer (don’t laugh) around for so long. He was a great morale booster behind the scenes apparently and now still can’t keep away from the place.

I’d really like to know what’s going with Çağlar and Maddison’s contract talks, too many transfer rumours (understandable, I know, it’s January) flying around for my liking.

Seems sensible to me. Of course there would be an over reaction when/if they announced new deals because alot of our fan base struggle to understand the bigger picture and the benefits they bring behind the scenes. It's not playing them every week, but phasing them out until they're surplus to requirements. They're both clearly happy here with their roles so it's win win for me.

Great news but did Rodgers really say he thought ‘Wes had improved since he’s been at the club’!?

Does he not know this is the guy that captained is to the top division title for the first time in our history?

i can’t work out whether he’s just saying that as a compliment to Wes or making out he’s the best coach to walk the earth?

they'll both cost buttons to keep around for another year and are clearly massively important behind the scenes.

Its an absolute no brainer for me that they both get an extension if they are willing to stay on.  it'll cost us more to bring in two players who are willing to play a bit part, but be good enough to step in when asked to do so.
