Just watched the Hume 1 and thought it was brilliant! He was involved in us dropping to our lowest point but spoke of how much he loved playing for our club... how it ended for him with us summed us up at the time such a scummy move

Haha. I didn’t know he said that. It’s funny how sometimes players are ignored as employees and sometimes employees just hate where they work. Comments like this show everyone has a bad experience at some stage with work.

I've watched a bit of each. Some of the City stories are interesting enough from Taggart, Piper etc. about a time we all remember fondly. Having said that, I just struggled to engage because the conversation is so often absolutely fvcking cringeworthy.

The worst kind of try-hard "laddy" banter, and clearly upping the swear count for the sake of it.

Call me a snowflake, but I had to turn off the Rogers one when at two mins in they're all having a big ol' chuckle about some girl being assaulted. It made me uncomfortable, and he comes across as a piece of sh*t.

Yeah man that bit was weird.

The podcasts are good. Hume's was brilliant.

I'll probably give it a listen but Alan Rodgers is still a knob though.

If you want some perspective on Alan Rodgers, watch Leon Knight. That guy is far more dislikeable.

They have a few decent episodes on there but Parkin and the apparent comedian are awful.

Agree with these. I think I listened to Taggart and Piper but it was really hard work. The presenters are so unlikeable for my tastes. Brash and laddy and not something that appeals to me at all when I want to listen to a football podcast.

I thought Rodgers came across alright 🤷🏻‍♂️

Me too. Thought his was fairly funny. It’s pretty obvious that era of football was all about football + ‘banter’ + drinking etc, and everything that came with it. If you don’t like that type of chat then this podcast definitely isn’t for you.

I think its a different style of podcast to say Peter Crouch's. A lot more "laddish" but that atmosphere seems to produce better stories and the players seem to be more open. Loved the Andy Johnson one, had no idea he was so mental.
