They want pool to get into top 4. And this will allow us in easier if it happens. And united will be fuming with that schedule

No doubt they'd have allowed this to happen sooner if it were the case and they were that corrupt. This is PL anyway, not FA.

They ain't gonna rest against us when we're their nearest rival.

I know Liverpool is their biggest rivalry but we're the ones 4 points behind them.

They’ll finish above us anyway, I reckon stopping the Scousers getting Top 4 will be a big motivation for them.

The latter is true actually. Probably bigger for them regardless.

Either way, just moving to the Tuesday helps enormously. We played 3 games in 9 days and looked knackered against Southampton. 3 games in a shorter period for them is brutal. Only downside is full strength or not versus Liverpool I don’t see them getting a result now!

And could be 1 point behind by the time they play Villa. Playing a heavily rotated side against us could open the door to second place. They won't want that even if it means upsetting their glory boys by rotating against the MR's.

Whether this will help us in the league is arguable but it certainly helps our Cup Final preparation
