Should have never left us.

Of course a season with Notts County when Sven turned up there. When that bogus takeover happened or summit. What actually happened with all that. Was it all big scam or did the so called new owners lose interest. I remember them signing Sol Campbell aswell and only playing one game and they storming off complaining about the training ground not being good enough.

Alongside Gordon Banks no doubt Leicester's best goalkeeper. Still think Kasper is one of the best keepers in europe it's incredible to think we have managed to keep him here this long. Think it shows how much love he has for the club as I think there has been opportunites for him to leave but opted not, to be fair I can see him being for many more years.

His best moment of course against Sevilla... watch and enjoy

Shilton is amazing got a european cup medal with someone else... but shock horror I would say Kasper is better than Shilton. With all due respect to Shilton he could never save a penalty...

It's been mentioned before that he's never had a run of matches where he's looked shaky or completely out of form. I remember Ian Walker really struggling for four or five games around the time that fan came on to confront him. Weale and Ricardo took turns to either throw the ball in the net or look totally out of their depth the season before he arrived.

He's made mistakes, of course, but he's earned us so many points, been top class in the title winning season, Championship winning season and pretty much every Champions League game he played he pulled off at least one stunning save. His penalty saving record also extremely impressive.

Having a settled keeper has allowed us to focus on recruiting in other areas. For a million quid, another remarkable bargain.

Wish he'd have saved a few that night in Turin in 1990.  :(

Yeah that whole thing was a total clusterfuch.

On top of it were the Beckham rumours lol

I, of course was being facetious. I'm glad Kasper ended up with you lads.

Congrats to him on the 400

I remember hearing wild rumour that Sven was going to bring in Edgar Davids as player manager aswell but apparently he refused to join a club "up north".

For the Quiet minority...Shilton was equal to Banks, Commanded, like Clemence, & Jennings his area better than Banks. All had tremendous reactions,

All equal on One on one. Shilton One of the best in the air and at corners...I believe Banks was the first of the great Great British Goalkeepers and his positioning quite unique, but Shilton took that with him...Banks thows and distrubution par excellence, but Football changed from  the 60s into the 70s.

Shilton & Co quicker but Not necessarily better when Coming Off the line....Anticipation, all learned from Banks, but became his equal.

Seen all mentioned GKs Let dollies through their legs,Then 2 minutes later, make a worldly...

If you worked within 800 sq.mtrs of filbert street, the firm & pubs in that 1960s-70s Banks-Shilton era, all generations

Really Couldnt Split them, discussions arguments Waved Equality between them....

both Top punchers or Holding onto & clasping   the ball while Diving and landing.!!!

Kaspers One weakness and why he Rates has my fourth best Leicester keeper, behind Shilton,Banks, and  Wallington ,hes Good in the air and punching, but doesn't Command that 18yard Penalty box, or has the last sweeper, on the ground or air...Leicester fans just felt confident at Set pieces,no matter who the CBs were...debutants were Made to feel comfortable..with the other 3..

Not forgetting from Banks to Wallington, Gkeepers came at you hands first....

The near Post defending paramount, from an angle I cant remember either Banks or Shilton being ever beaten on the near post, though I saw Clemence,Jennings & Wallington, Let a couple Slip through....that doesn't mean it didn t happen, but such a rarity simply not worth mentioning...

I have no Grind with Kasper, hes put in some Great WClass Club performances, but nothing to Match Banks & Shilton First at Leicester,Then their other clubs.

On more & many occasions... Shilton & Banks,Wallington rarely,Bloody rarely ever missed a Cross they went for with their hands, but a rare punch I seen all 3 mistime it..Though I thought Shilts,Wallington, Jennings & Clemence became much better at punching...I

Though that Magic cup night against L'pool Banks punching & Master goalkeeping  was sublime...

For many years, since my childhood I knew a hardened L'pool fan ( a Great friend who passed Away ten years gone)...

who for me Made a Great defining compliment...."We were so Bloody Happy to see the back of Banks, Then you Spring wonderman Shilton on us,Then have the audacity to Pull an unflappable Wallington out of the hat...3 long generations of Great Gkeepers covering nearly 30 years"

To be honest I Dont think we ever have had a Walking accident or below avg Gkeeper between the sticks, in my lifetime,

each brought their own character & special skills...Its just a massive stride to even try and compete with Banks...Shilton...Wallington...

even Flowers gets mentioned in dispatches.

kaspers long loyal years, learn process, character on & off the field some Great Match defining  shot stopping & that Legend-Status Making title, and best Gk in our best PL period, if not Top Flight history, Puts him rightly up there..but for me, Shares best 3rd place with Wallington and worst 4th...!!!

oh and yesterday ,twice Coming out playing brilliantly  that sweeper roll...Showing even an old Dog can learn new tricks..!!
