Athanaze looking very good for the West Indies

Thank goodness someone did, would've been bowled out in a session otherwise. Shame he couldn't make a debut 50 on home turf in Dominica.

Not exactly Bazball, this.

The India game? It's a bit slow but I'm happy for Jaiswal. Ton on test debut.

Seems like a lot of turn for a day 2 pitch too.

Lots of batting to come. I was hoping there'd be a few more entertaining periods though...

Looks like they will get to the final .

Would have the two sides in this semi as the strongest out of the four on paper. Wouldn't count against an Essex side with Lawrence and Harmer in the final though.

Essex limiting Somerset to 145.

Very gettable.

EDIT: Essex blowing it .

Some very poor shots .

Always an uphill struggle for them. Somerset deserve some success for the amount of quality players they produce despite not having the advantages of the Test ground counties, and also because they're arguably the only county cricket club who are better supported than any other sports team in their area. In fact, I think there was some research into social media followings a while back that backed that up.

Australia  end up on 282/7 with 26 coming off the last over which might prove very costly for England.

England 17 remaining off 9 :o

They could do it...

Nat Sciver Brunt’s great century in vain sadly .

Last over of the Aussie innings proving costly .

The dropped catches..Bells last over, compared to Aussies last 2-3 overs & maybe Capsey not getting into the runs..

Nobody to blame, hindsight is for the clever Buggar, but some clever thought would of won us that game..The Ifs though are for the losers…

Great Cricket from both teams…We didn’t get walloped, but more importantly we were again in the position to break the chase record, and to win the game…
