It's the World Cup qualifier event at the moment. 2 out of the 10 teams (Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands, USA, UAE, Nepal, Oman) will qualify.

Sri Lanka should make it quite easily but I'm really worried about the Windies, Zimbabwe could definitely pip them to it.

Well done to Tammy  Beaumont.

Double century .

Hopefully one of the men can follow suit next week although guess the pitch and bowling  will be much tougher !

Feels like this one will be a draw.

Similar to the men's Test - looks to be roughly a one innings shootout over two and a bit days. Will be interesting!

I'm at Trent Bridge today.

The bowling hasn't been great tbh but nonetheless that's a really great achievement, the sheer amount of concentration needed for that period of time is impressive, particularly in sticky heat.

Looking bad.:(

Shame after they got into a good position but the batting let them down .

Cannot be too often a team has someone scoring a double century and another taking 10 wickets but end up losing quite comfortably .

A very damning report by ICEC into ECB and cricket in this country.

Doubt this is the sort of media attention the ECB want just before another Ashes test

.

Puts cricket in a very negative light regardless of if you agree with some points made or not.

Some might argue the lack of cricket played at state schools means privately educated players will have more of an advantage for example.

Hopefully any issues are being stamped out.

Quote from Jim Maxwell ('veteran' Aussie commentator) regarding picking Bairstow as wicketkeeper:

"You can't have a bloke who is a bit overweight , been out of nick because of his injury, doing the job of a Foakes"

Summarises situation perfectly. And it is not as if Foakes can't bat; not as quick as Bairstow and averages slightly less, but too many errors by Bairstow are costly.
