I've been in lockdown for a year now and we're coming up to the anniversary of the 1st official England lockdown.

What have you not done in that time?

I've not

Worn a proper of trousers only tracksuit and jogging bottoms.

Not been in a big Supermarket

Not used cash

Not been out other than walks around the block and across the nearest field.

Not driven anywhere other than around the block to keep the car ticking over and to the hospital.

Not been in any non-food shops bought everything online.

Not been out for a meal or drink.

If you want to expand on that and say the last time you did something even before then feel free.

PS As you can see I'm bored.:P

I've done most of the small things but in a socially distanced (and therefore crap) way. Its the big things I havent done like seen my parents, hugged friends, gone abroad, gone to a museum / match etc.

Ending on a positive - the rare occasion I got public transport I never had to stand, which was great to be fair.

I’m quite luck with my work that I cannot work from home, so have to travel quite a bit to different sites, so I am out of the house most days going to different places.

I think I would have gone mad having to work from or stay at home.  I get bored on weekends with nothing to do.

So in answer to the OP, I have probably done everything I am allowed to do within the law and guidelines. I have always been careful, and thankfully have not picked up the virus.

As per Strokes, I have luckily not had to see the mother-in-law as she is shielding.

Nope not been clubbing either...

I've actually got quite good at cutting my own, I gave it a go early on in lockdown thinking if it looks shite I'll just shave it all off, but did a decent job of it, I've done my own hair 4 or 5 times now.

My teeth are a mess though, but I'm not going to try my hand at self dentistry.

It's such a simple one but it's weird that it's been a full year without bumping into someone I know.

Everything has either been planned because it's needed to be or it's just been going to work and back home.

Apart from going down the KP I'm really struggling to think of anything else I haven't been able to do at some time over the last 12 months. I've been on holiday, got married, been to the pub, had (several) meals out, had my hair cut, seen my in laws... All within the rules. Obviously not all as often as I would have liked, but it's all been doable at some point over the last 12 months, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something?

How often would you have liked to have got married over the last 12 months, Deb?

(Congratulations btw - I either missed that or my aging brain has shamefully forgotten about it)

As I understand it, you also managed to emigrate and get a new job during lockdown.....absolutely sickening how someone always "has a good war". :D

Unless jeans count, I've not worn proper trousers since a funeral in 2016 - and have never driven anywhere (though I've taken buses 4-5 times in the last year & made a couple of train trips last summer).

Otherwise, I'm under-performing you slightly in most categories, Davie.....done most of the things you mention but only the odd time (mainly during 10 days in Devon last summer).

Otherwise, in the last year:

- I've not met a family member except my daughter (brother, uncle & cousins all live in other regions)

- I've only met a friend once (my mate in Devon last summer)

- I've not left England....indeed, I've not left the British Isles for almost 3 years, I think

I've had my son and 2 grandkids visit in my garden between the 1st two lockdowns but not seen my daughter and her 2 since October 2019 they were meant to come that Xmas / New Year period but her daughter was ill and then in Feb 2020 by which time we were isolating and have been pretty much ever since.

My other son in Lillehammer and his girlfriend were due to visit as well but that's not happened either.

Life goes by fast enough without losing all this time.

Not even wore a pair of jeans.
