Not true

Ever dipped into the match threads when we are losing?

I think whoever is at Arsenal has a big job on. There squad is shocking, aside from the odd bit of quality and a couple of good young players. They are years off becoming serious title challengers again.

They have no backbone, no spirit, just a assortment of individuals who may turn it on occasionally, they’ve been like that for years now.

That’s not very representative though is it? It’s like saying the vast majority of Leicester fans think Maddison is the greatest European footballer ever after he’s scored in a matchday thread.

I can’t be arsed to look but I bet Rodgers’ approval rating on the match ratings threads have probably never dropped below 70%

I think that down to people being stressed and letting off steam in the heat of the moment.

It what people say when they have had time to think and reflect that's important.

For some moaning about the team and players is a way to blow off steam and forget about normal life stresses and worries.

I don't think its a good barometer of Rodgers fan approval.

Football is an emotional game, as it should be, matchday threads are always likely to bring out some extreme shouts. It's how it is.

Especially as we’re all watching games at home. Probably 20-30% of the more emotive posts would be cut out as people are in the ground and not bothering with FT

We all live in the moment in March Day threads. We react to what is going on and a lot of our inner fear and insecurities about our team spill out. You will hardly ever see cool, rational reflection in them, they are pure emotion. Plus we all talk a load of absolute bollocks.

I wish that were the case. We’ve basically been top 6 all season and half the fans on here have still wanted Rodgers gone

I know it's (they) are bonkers.

In his defence it's a bit true - okay not half but we basically have a 10 percent lunatic following like I would imagine most clubs.

I only checked briefly but the lowest Rodgers’ approval rating has dropped this season is 74% and that was after losing to Fulham at home - their first win of the season.

Given that most people vote post match and it’s typically in a reactionary manner I don’t think 74% is really that bad at all. Looking at the results his approval has been about 95% for a while.
