and if that situation continues we will lose a generation of kids that do want to go

keep up

Sorry it was the bit about the PS5 brigade that made me assume you were implying kids weren't as into it these days.  🤷‍♂️

Football is losing its appeal to kids, it’s too expensive and not exciting enough for the PS5 brigade

The Holmes Dale Rd end are nowhere near the away end, yet they make a right noise most games.

It's about being organised and people being up for it and not looking at there phones or going off to get more beers.

People can do what they like, but our home support is one of the worst.

When away fans sing at the KP everyone just goes quiet and watches

You are not wrong but the that stand is helped by the fact the club there really assist and push their active support group. Moving HF centrally in that stand will have helped noise no end.

I have a season ticket with my eldest son but my youngest is desperate to get one and obviously can't.

A lot of his school mates and football teammates are also desperate to go to matches bit find it incredibly difficult. We definitely need the extra space.

I am affected by this and have been asked to move if we want to remain as part of the family enclosure.

For £50 ( £35 adult £15 u18 )extra we will remain in our seats which we have held for over 10 years .
Most of my friends have seats with kids in block p . It has done us a favour as we would be asked to move in a couple of years due to age.

I know lots have been asked to move in previous seasons due to there kids becoming too old for the stand as over 18s had too move previously.

Wouldn't you have to wait till the end of sth renewal

Apparently not:

The renewal process for Season Tickets in the Family Stand will begin on Friday 28 May. As well as being invited to renew your seats, families in Block P and Block P1 will be invited to relocate to available seats in Block P2 or Block P3 during this time.

Think its just a case of being patient..... I'm sure the club have a fool proof system set up.

Anyone had any luck relocating from P or P1?

Yes, all done and got seats that fit into what we wanted. Called up this morning and was only on hold for about 20 minutes.

Lots and lots of kids want to go and can’t. I teach in a primary school. It’s not lack of interest at all. It’s because tickets are like gold dust!

I have a ST with my son who has just turned 18 (his ticket jumps from £150 - £390, yikes!) but my daughter who is 12 has wanted to join us for ages but can’t get a season ticket. She comes to games as and when I can get hold of a single ticket in my block (K1). And then I have to pay for an adult, as it’s a single seat and can’t be sold to a child even if it’s next to me! The lovely people on my row do move along for her if I can get her a seat on our row and we do the same for the children of other STH’s in the same position. These younger siblings will never accumulate enough points for a season ticket until stadium expansion takes place, as they can only attend when there are tickets available in the same area as their parents.

I’m in a similar situation. My other half gave up her season ticket when pregnant, 3 kids later, they’re old enough to have been going for a few years now, the wife can’t get a ticket and the two youngest are desperate to go but again can’t get a ticket.

They were gold members for a few years in the hope of getting a season ticket in the ballot, but it was expensive and they had no success so knocked them on the head as there was no other real benefit, especially when they couldn’t get tickets for the title lift against Everton.

At the minute I take the kids if one or more of my friends who I’ve got a season ticket with aren’t going, but as you say they get no priority points. I might get them memberships again next season as the price is a bit more palatable now.

We desperately need to expand.

...genuine question...!!!

Are the club aware of these situations regarding getting tickets and the difficulty in sourcing family tickets and the impact on the the individual families.

All these issues have probably have been relayed to the club on countless occasions, but there is a very obvious need to extend and not just for the increase in revenue receipts.

Has anyone renewed in this 'new' adult area? Interested if it's attracted singers looking for a lively atmosphere.

It used to be a bit of an unofficial singing section a few seasons back before the club clamped down on the rules for the family enclosure. Used to get a good bit of atmosphere going with fans singing both sides of the away fans.

I'm in there. I always favoured the kop but fancied a change as atmosphere has become a bit stale in there. I figured this area would be lots of new ST holders/nearer away fans and obviously it's easier access to that end.
