It's as if they have exclusivity on the name. My mate supports ManC and often gets into the City mode which makes me do the same. We have some ridiculous conversations.

It's annoying enough with the modern media doing the City thing but it's something else when ours do it

Very bad etiquette.

Ditto.

I had a Man City mate at work, who would obviously call his team 'City', and I would always call them 'Man City'.

But I always called us 'City', so it would've made interesting listening.

Although, in fairness, there was a subtle difference.   I always call us 'The City', as opposed to say 'The Tigers' or 'The County'.    Man City fans, and other idiots who call them 'City' never use the 'The' prefix.

I voted Fosse at the time, but that time has been and gone.

Some interesting comments about the uniqueness of Fosse as a name or even brand though. I mean it's not as if the club use City at all in any marketing as far as I can see. It's almost an unused part of the club's name these days.

Wasn't old enough to vote, but now I'd stay as City. Everything we've won and achieved in recent times has been "Leicester City". We'd lose a lot of that being known and knowledge if we change name.

This sums it up for me. The name vote made sense at the time as it was a new beginning but that ship has sailed long ago.

But then again, my fellow Americans have only recently figured out how to say “Leicester.” I would have completely snapped after hearing “Lie-chester Fosseee” for years.

Perhaps they could make a song about Liechester fosse and this track lol
