Got my ticket in the app yesterday. So they would have worked on some sort of segregation. Block 136 which is two blocks from where I was at FA Cup final.

Interested to hear what the experience was like in terms of ticket queues, ability to get a drink near or in the ground?  Hope you enjoyed that match 🥳

Overall a good day out (bar the result for me!). Lots of people on the street, due to staggered entry times I was in the ground at 14:45 or something. Easy enough to get drinks inside. Noisy as hell for the goals, my ears are ringing like after a Motorhead concert.

Walk back to underground was a pit. If we avoid a spike in cases from the EUROs, it will be a miracle!!!

Looks like Public Health in Scotland have seen exactly that.  Feels like one step forwards and two steps back at the moment

How were they on checking ID against tickets?

Checked COVID status (e.g. test result) and match ticket. Neither against any form of ID. So I could have rocked up with anyone's test result/match ticket.

I mean, at some point I guess this will just be the norm, like going the football in Winter when the flu is ripping through. However, the key measures will be the hospitalisation/death figures, which will take about a month to reflect current events. I think it is premature based on the fact that vaccinations are now at a critical point. Let's see what happens, not many people agree with 60,000 add semis/finals when a variant is ripping through the country.

So negative test is required?  Haven’t seen anything in what they sent me so far. Just the ones you do at home??  Sorry for so many questions

COVID passports. If you are double jabbed (having received the 2nd at least 2 weeks before the match) prove by status OR proof of a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours of match (SMS/email proof, can just do it at home) OR you have recently recovered from COVID.

So if you need to test, you can just do it at home and record result (which of course relies on people being honest as no one will check validity, thus it being pretty pointless in my eyes).

If England don't make the final, i doubt they'll be 60,000 will want to go and i can't see them allowing that many  football fans in from the continent.

I think a lot of people will be stuck with their tickets then. England will be there anyway and it will be full of England fans.

Lots of people would still watch a neutral final (depending on ticket prices).

There definitely will be 60k people wanting to go but obviously general demand will be reduced significantly. I’m still going regardless.

We didn’t have a pandemic in 96.

Sorry I just mean in terms of attending the final after England lost in the semis .

Obviously circumstances are a little different.

When England got knocked out on Weds night they then said tickets go out to the federations (Czech Republic) but then any returns would go back to Wembley.

I just kept ringing (yep the good old phone, back in the day!!) Thursday morning/early afternoon till the phone was engaged, then kept ringing till I got through and got a ticket for the final for £60, literally back row mind behind the goal.

Bit cheaper than the tickets that were available on Tuesday a couple of hours b4 our game €945.  That's inflation for you!!

Well the ticket prices seem to vary from 595-995 euros so that's a major factor. Thats why the other semi isn't selling out. A weekday match at a few hundred euros a ticket is not enticing. If the other semi was say 100euro I would probably buy one.

Prices are ridiculous. The Fans First are great value, the category 3 tickets are already stupid prices.

The most I've ever paid for tickets is $250 (180ish pounds) for England Colombia tickets at the last World Cup but I bought them on the day of the match, I knew England were playing and they were category 1s. I felt ripped off by FIFA at the time (I don't regret it) but UEFA have taken it to a new level with the prices they are charging. It's just put me off all together. I think I'll wait for Qatar or Germany.

Not going to get better as FIFA/UEFA are still setting the prices and have catching up to do after this pandemic.

Yes but I'm more wiling to spend money on a one off event in a post COVID world. The whole experience of going to a match at the moment just isn't quite the same. Plus tournaments in the less travelled countries tend to be both cheaper (ticket wise) and a more interesting way to spend money. Also for all the hate they get FIFA don't tend to rip fans off as much as UEFA do. The next two world cups I'm looking forwards to more than the German Euros. Plus I'll actually apply for tickets this time and try and grab some cat 4s.

You would think tickets should be available in masses for Qatar and relatively cheap. Also, all the stadiums are within easy reach. It's like having a World Cup in the Leicestershire region. So you can base yourself anywhere and not be more than an hour from any of the stadiums.

I mean, that doesn’t sound like a month of utter carnage at all. 32 nations fans in a small location lol get the plastic chairs stocked up already.

I can't see it being a popular destination for many people to be honest, doubt there will be masses of fans going over (for various reasons). Although it does offer some Winter sunshine...
