Ad Blocker

Recommended Posts

I've been having a problem recently which i thought was resolved but sadly its back again.

Without changing any of my adblocker settings (all x3 blocker apps are disabled for this site) I keep getting the red banner at the top.

This wouldn't be too much of an issue except that when this message is up, i am unable to click on twitter links.

I've tried resolving it by turning on and off the ad block apps, but it's not removing the message :(

Edit;- I can temporarily fix this by logging into the site on my phone and then closing the page on my Pc and re-opening, but this only lasts for a couple of days. Wondering if there was any way to fix permanently?

there is a handy browser cleaner app called CyberGhost. If you cleanse your browser using that app of all resident cookies and history then try again with your ad blocker either temporarily or permanently disabled for the site it should be fine.

The internet is free because of ad support.

Would you prefer to pay to use FoxesTalk?

No, so turn your ad blocker off.

I would much prefer to make a donation than see ads given the time I spend here and the irritation ads cause me.

Perhaps an ad-free premium membership should be an option.

I don't think it's right to just expect an ad-free site without paying, though.

Agreed. Hope that option can be added!

We've always been able to donate, then we don't see any adverts

If people can afford to make a donation to FT it's a win win, gets rid of the ads and helps the forum obviously

Didn't know this, makes sense.

I make a living on the ads we're talking about so I'm biased, and I'd feel hypocritical blocking the very thing I sell!
