Classic, especially on the Amiga

Seeing the opposition defenders shoulders slump as he gets red carded for hacking down one of your players was pure joy.

Especially because the AI didn't patch the gaping hole in the defence that he left so you'd win about 25-0, depending on how much game time was left.

I had a mega drive and loved quite a few on it.

Aladdin

Lion king

Donald and Mickey, I forget the name of the game but it was magic you had these rugs to stun enemies

Quackshot

James Pond

Cool Spot

Micro Machines

Street fighter II

Earthworm Jim

Sonic

Toejam and Earl

Shinobi

Fifa

Madden.

So many good memories on that console. I still have it now, it still works  and a few times a year I'll hook it up to an old little crt telly I've kept specifically for that console. Emulators never quite hit the spot for me though they're a great alternative if you don't have the original gear.

There was "World of Illusion " and "Castle of Illusion". Both good games!

My first console was a Mega Drive. Some of my favourites included:

World of Illusion (As mentioned above)

Sonic 2

Premier Manager

James Pond (Robocod)

The Lion King

Aladdin

I lost 100s of hours on that!

Was always distressing when your star player retired to run a country pub.

Destruction Derby. I used to love the level where you was in the arena and you had to be the last one standing.

What a game

Theme Hospitals

spent hours and hours on this

Noticed 'Two Point Hospital' on game pass, a spiritual successor to theme hospital, I used to love it so will definitely check it out. Worth a look if you a have a console/pc, I'll try to remember to report back if I do get round to booting it up.

Microprose Soccer and Ballblazer on the C64, Operation Wolf, Phoenix and Outrun on the arcades. Is Resident Evil 2 retro enough yet?

Yeah microprose soccer, remember the overhead kicks 😀 operation thunderbolt aswell, love phoenix, played that on my arcade at the weekend, also outrun was great, I was never any good on the resident evil games, never had the patience hence why I like the easy retro games.
