Sorry, I wasn't talking about this 50+1 thing as I have no idea about it, I was talking about fan ownership in general.

Not sure if you meant to include me, but I just meant that Liverpool and Man Utd are the two biggest names in English football, so if you stripped away all the fake sponsorship deals and blood money then all you'd have is 2 teams earning far more money than the rest of the league. We'd essentially become the SPL.

Instead of which we currently have Man Ciddy dominating the league.

Best players in the world will go to where the money is(?). Watching what's going on in the world makes me think big changes are ahead. Rapid shifts in physical resources and the world economy. We have to learn to love the game that's in front of us and not that which the most gold can buy.

Put on my hard hat but I do hope so you know. Fan ownership is the way forward, protect clubs as community assets.

Nice thought, but communities are becoming a thing of the past. IMO, fan ownership can only work here if we all pull together.   Not likely to happen when you get criticised for flying the Union Flag or Cross of St George in your local area (Clarendon Park).

In reality does any area of Leicester for instance have a real community spirit? The indigenous population is in the minority and I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if we have many street parties on the city on 5th June. At the 25th Jubilee there were loads of events, be nice to see it happen again.

You dont have to be white to have a sense of community or to "pull together" to support Leicester. Or at least you shouldnt have to.

Ive no idea why you chose this thread to make a post that is pretty much a thinly veiled racist post.

Is she gunna give back the stolen kohinoor as a token of appreciation and community? If so, count me in mate!

Perhaps if we just had a proper "fit" test for owners and stuck to it then we wouldnt have owners like the executioner saudis. £ notes talk though.

Football being held to higher ownership standards than any other business is pretty hard to achieve imo, there are laws in place.  The Newcastle takeover mess has proven the PL cannot stop a takeover, especially from a Government which we quite like despite its human rights record.

Imagine a world where a fit and proper test applied for football clubs, business, government.

But who would test the people testing? 🤔
