Libertine Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 What events do you think you'll mainly remember about 2005? Such things as Live 8 and the London bombings for me.
Durnerz Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 2005's been quite a bad year. 2 deaths in my family, the London Terror Attacks and Citys form being poor. Bring on 2006!
The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Graduation, new job, promotion, terrorist bombings, the deaths of some people who were very close to me, my best friend getting engaged and asking me to be best man, the year I lost almost complete interest in LCFC.

Katy Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Its not been a fantastic year for me but not totally hideous either. My dad imigrating to Spain Me coming off the happy pills and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, what I was doing when the London bombings occured. Meeting Cobbo and my friends off here was pretty good though. I need to stop moaning, people have had it a lot worse
The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 One of my best friends died earlier this year of cancer, he was 27... hence my 27km sponsored run earlier this year. The good really do die young, he was a fantastic bloke.

The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Yeah.. he was a real fighter though. I try to have that inspire me. Never felt sorry for himself. Sorry, I've kinda turned this thread in a sombre direction.
john_lcfc Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 live8 london bombings the year we won the ashes
Libertine Posted 24 November 2005 Author Posted 24 November 2005 London getting the 2012 olympics is one too.
The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Oh yeah! Forget about the Ashes and the Olympics. 2005 will also be remembered as the year we lost the legend that is Trev.

The People's Hero Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Don't worry - 2006 will be remembered for the year that Trev came back!
Libertine Posted 24 November 2005 Author Posted 24 November 2005 Don't worry - 2006 will be remembered for the year that Trev came back! Or England winning the World Cup? <_<
Nationwider Posted 24 November 2005 Posted 24 November 2005 Generally, I'll remember 2005 for the Ashes and the events in London, which affected, to various degrees, friends and family. The images of the year for me were those of the Tsunami and Pakistan. I think I've been very lucky compared to some on this site. Life's about swing's and roundabouts, to use a rather limp cliche. For those who've had a rough '05, hopefully '06 will be better. Personally, I've had a blinder this year. I got married , but best of all I found out a couple of weeks ago that.... ......I'm going to be a Daddy !!!
