I do feel looking in the Championship is clearly something we have done well previously look at how our recognised two best players this season came from - Madders (cost less than Soumare from Norwich) KDH (that Luton loan steered him into the path he’s currently on IMO) A player who is smashing it in the Championship is worth looking at as less of a gamble when taking external factors such as adapting to England etc is what I hope the poster meant. ...I think you might find Maddison cost £22.5m from Norwich and Soumare cost us £18m from Lille!!! In 2018 we pushed the boat out for Maddison just like went hard to acquire Fofana. 3

I still stand that the Championship is definitely worth an extensive look. 1

There is a feeling with Brexit, we are not looking in the places which affords us the better bargains not saying the Championship is the default for this.

That's more the way to put it.

I don't think Brexit has anything to do with our scouting policy. Like most clubs we spread the net far and wide. Sometimes you get Ndidi, sometimes you get Diabate. 1

I was talking about the ability to bring players in, and South America would be now, the rich seam we should be mining. 1
foxile5 Posted 3 June 2022 Posted 3 June 2022 One of the recent flops I feel bad about. I had such high hopes and I think that he's shown glipses of talent - there's enough to make an argument to keep him. With that in mind, and the future of the football club being central to any decision, if he's not 'settling' and he can't adapt he needs to leave for all parties concerned. No point persisting if there's nothing to fiesably persist with. 1
