If that's Seagrave it looks tatty for £100 million.

Brendan will soon use it as an excuse

On a serious note, I want us to be a coherent fan base again and pulling in the same direction. I feel I can’t be positive about this club until they get rid of the one consistent theme here that leads back to the issues we have. It’s Rodgers.

In leadership you do not hang your team out to dry, downplay potential and claim ‘overachieving’ and the excuses are life sapping. I get the impression once he’s given the boot this place will be a lot more positive.

disagree 100%, the problem is YOU the fans. Its history repeating itself, happened with puel and many managers before.

Using Puel as an example invalidates your point mate. The bounce we got getting rid of him immediately improved the football and we rocketed up the table. Same needs to happen here.

You mean you want everyone to agree with you, is what you clearly mean. The point about overachieving I find curious, as we did, by any metric of value overachieve, but to suggest it as a truth is perceived as being a bad fan, a fan boy, whereas it should at least be eligible as a topic for civilised discussion.

The bit in bold is just further evidence of what you regard as an incontrovertible truth rather than a point of discussion.

I want everyone to enjoy their team and not have the life sucked out of them by a manager who’s excuses now borderline on abusive relationship territory. That would happen immediately with his sacking. Watch this board turn overnight if he went.

More preaching, no discussion. Yawn. Notice you omitted my comment on overachieving as it does not fit the rhetoric.

Its history repeating itself, you just proved my point entirely

At what point did I invite discussion with YOU? You’re the biggest Brendan fan boy on this forum mate. You engaged me!

What so you’re fine being rock bottom without a win just because you don’t want history to repeat itself? Bizarre

the season has just started. we could be mid table with 2 wins on the bounce next... hardly anything to worry about at this stage.

Could be. Could also continue losing after our manager has publicly come out and slagged off half the team. Let’s see. I ****ing hope you’re right.

Aren’t forums for discussions? FyI  I am no longer a fan boy, and agree he should go, but people make supporting this great club all about Brendan and that say way way more about them..

Still you dodge the overachieving topic, maybe discussions aren’t for you after all, stick to the pitch forks eh?

Have we overachieved? One of the highest paid managers in the league and incredible facilities. Players sold to the top 6 with ease etc. Are we now by contrast underachieving? Or is this the level that Rodgers expects from us given he’s been actively playing us down for years now?

We are now underachieving, no question about that, but 5th position was overachieving by the reliable metric of wages. The only reason if chaffed so badly was because we looked a shoe-in for the CL spots. I do not agree with his wages dictates anything other than the price we had to pay for his services and that too is irrelevant next to the wages metric which is unrelated to manager salary.

He needs to be gone because of this tactical and motivational failings. His Brentisms, his believed self proclaiming self serving protection statements are irrelevant too me, he is here to manage a football club, and he is failing, all the other crap can get in the bin.

I'd like to think I am broadly optimistic when it comes to Leicester but sometimes you just have to look at things as they are rather than as you wish they were and accept that yeah, it's bad.

Performances and results are trending downwards, we seem largely incapable of both creating good chances and preventing opponents from doing so, the fabled summer refresh has left us with a worse squad and starting eleven and the collar on the home shirt is an affront to the senses. Best of all, our manager seems to have completely abandoned all pretence that he has the ability or inclination to fix any of the team's problems in favour of sniping at the board and his players, to the extent that if he turned up at Seagrave with a neon sign reading "PLEASE SACK ME I WANT MY PAYOFF" it'd only be marginally less subtle.

If your preferred method of coping with these assorted issues is blind faith and limitless patience then more power to you but let's not turn it into a game of Who's the Best Fan?

I agree largely with your post but as a fan I have to add the underplaying and the negativity to his comments should also be added to this paragraph. He’s deluded on many things and maybe I am deluded about the size and impact of our club, but the constant playing down so to keep within the acceptable lane so he doesn’t get caught out is just unacceptable.
