I get there's a lot of scenarios in the sport, but why do we seem to keep ending up in situations where nobody, the teams, drivers, race directors, fans, broadcasters etc know what's gonna happen or what the result might be. Someone needs to sit down and write rules that cover every conceivable situation.

It's the big question isn't it?

I don't understand how, almost weekly, we encounter new ways in which the laws don't cover situations

It is mental when you think just how important and irreplaceable Charlie whiting has been

Wonder what the likes of Magnussen, Hulkenberg, Albon, Ricciardo and Bottas could do with that Aston.

As opposed to Stroll? Probably the same

So lap 57 never happened, but gets counted as though it happened, but drivers who crashed out on lap 57 don't get to complete lap 58 because they crashed out on a lap that didn't happen

Will sainz get a penalty though if the slate has kinda been wiped clean

5 second penalty!

Every single car behind him going to bunch up as close as possible to get within that 5 seconds

Nah they are all a cut above Mr Stroll.

Are they really?

Ricciardo if everything fits for him like it did at RBR maybe. Magnussen is no better than him. Bottas and Albon probably a tad better. Hulkenberg in his prime like 10 years ago lol

Odds on that causing an accident?

What’s the point of them doing a lap behind the safety car ?

So acting as if 57 didn't happen, whilst also counting it

But also giving penalties for things that happened on the phantom lap.
