We had years of meh, with the odd season here and there (Lewis vs Nico and then Merc vs Ferrari), and then we get 21, which was epic, and I dare say we were at a point where the gap was closing on Merc considerably, to then go and change the rules, to give us more years of meh.

The sport shoots itself in the foot so much, its getting more and more difficult to watch. We're at a point of we already know the race order, regardless of qualifying order, before a race starts, that's not racing. Couple that with the vomit inducing crap they came out with pre-race, it's a difficult watch

This season definitely needs an incident between Perez/Verstappen to ignite a rivalry, sooner rather than later

the sport has always shot itself in the foot with the regs, I think the genuine difference during this era from when the Merc dominance begun is the genuine lack of constructors that are here to develop an actual winning car. That is at least the one shining light from this somewhat dull start to the new regs is that manufacturers that will probably try and compete are being consistently linked and are getting involved for the future

Said before how it's getting very Americanised if that's the right word, making it into a superbowl and graphics all over the show. Just let us see the race and get on with it.

Adding in sprints and shit to spice it up, no, just no.

Genuine question, how do any of you watch this? I check the results when I remember and it’s so obvious what’s going to happen, do you spend hours watching this every couple of weeks?

I still like it. There is some decent racing in the midfield and strategically it's still interesting. I went to Baku last week and going to Austin in October, so I clearly still have an interest lOl

I keep an eye on results in practice

Watch qualifying

Watch the start of the race, keep it on the background whilst doing other stuff during the majority and so I can catch if anything happens, watch the end

Just finished the latest season of Drive to Survive.   The producers did Vettel dirty when they did a montage of Riccardo at the end and barely mentioned Vettel's retirement.

Also thought Guus was a bully despite his overplayed nice guy exterior.

Honda back in F1 with Aston Martin from 2026.

They will be hoping for a Red Bull like partnership rather than the one they had with McLaren (when Alonso was there !)

Rumours of Ferrari wanting Hamilton .

Surely won’t happen - they aren’t any better than Mercedes’ and will Lewis want to end his career with them ?

People thought, including myself, he'd never leave McLaren.  Lots of rumours about LeClerc wanting out to Mercedes so potential swap in seats.

I think Leclerc earns more than Hamilton now, so can certainly see it happening. Ferrari can afford him.

Can’t see it happening but I imagine Lewis would want to drive for Ferrari, pretty much everyone on the grid would’ve wanted a stint with Ferrari. But I mean you replace Sainz with Hamilton for what one or two seasons and Hamilton would probably be more of a number 2 there than at the moment with Merc where Russell may be out performing but i think they’re mostly treated equally
