At least “your city is blue” didn’t come out yesterday as it has in the past

Against a one club city…

Could've sworn I heard it at one point

Why would anyone support this team vocally at this stage?

Ive been a very vocal supporter over the years but genuinely don't understand how any grown adult can still sing songs of support for multi millionaires who have shown this shirt zero respect.

It should be vocal alright, it should be damning and delivering it's verdict on these complete deserters.

Definitely was sung on the left hand side, I was in JL9 and heard it.

If you have to get into semantics then it’s not the clever jibe people think it is.

Never said it was

Tbh I find our chants and banter lacking originality, outdated and pretty cringe worthy. Same old, same old.

It’s not even that though, it’s the obsession with only going at the opposition. I know some parts of the fanbase are a bit rough and ready but yesterday was just cringy. Wolves fans were playing their part too but it seems like a lot of our lot only go for ‘banter’

support the team man.

The team deserve nothing but abuse at this point

atmosphere in prince albert before the game was decent. in the stands it was terrible but as stated - this lot don't deserve it. i went along for a good day out with mates and to be on the beers. the football experience ruined it. still had a good day mind when i don't get wrapped up in the footy aspect.

was chatting to a wolves fan after the game on the way back to station and he said "see you in 5 years or so" to which i replied "only if you go down!"

English support is broken beyond repair, every time an English team plays someone from Europe, they are given a lesson in support. The only retort being “what the fookin hell is that?”, as they then continue to sit in silence.

Some of ours will blame things like boring stadium design, yet in Germany alone Magdeburg, Dresden, Hansa Rostock, Aachen play in stadiums almost identical to ours, yet just compare the atmosphere.

i can’t think of a single time I’ve been impressed with a domestic away support since Covid. Leeds last year were probably the best of the lot.

Everton in 2022, but agree it's generally piss poor. The fact Everton were so good proves it isn't bad acoustics either.

Yeah I agree 100%

When I went to see Leicester in the UCL at Copenhagen I was amazed by their fans back in 2016

They were in the ground orchestrating noise over an hour before the game.

We have our moments over past few years but it’s getting worse now.

Tbf we’re a fractured society now that’s fully molly coddled with little life left so it’s no surprise big clubs are woefully supported now

That Everton away end was the best I’ve ever seen down here. Ridiculous

I went to Barca v Mallorca last week, small pocket of Mallorca fans around 100-150 at a guess sang 3/4 times and the Barca fans about the same. Last 5 minutes was noisy to see them home to a 1-0 win but generally the atmosphere was nothing near what I experienced 20 years ago in the Nou Camp.

Lots of tourists like myself, popcorn everywhere, you could be forgiven for thinking you were at Old Trafford.

Leicester will never have that appeal, and King Power are playing a dangerous game with fans like myself who have been frozen out of big games in general sale.

Im hearing 3000 not renewed so if the support continues to dwindle it’ll be down to 15000 KPFC happy clappers in a couple of years, what an atmosphere that will be !

British people are boring as **** though.

The French can also be bothered to get off their arse to protest about shit they believe in.

Amazing how different we are.

Don't know if it's boring or just very self conscious, and cynical almost to the point of nihilism. Strongly believing in something is seen as cringey, feigned indifference is our default setting. As somebody else pointed out, our favourite chant is "what the ****ing hell is that", directed at an away end of Europeans passionately supporting their team.

Correct. You look at the average Brit going on holiday to deathly boring places like France, a village in Italy, beach resorts in Spain. Eating bland meat and two veg dishes every night seasoned with salt and pepper. Drinking endless cups of mass-produced tea/coffee with loads of milk. Going shopping for off the rack formal clothing at M&S.

We are so different/boring compared to mainland Europe.

Odd question to ask but do these European “ultras” (or whatever you want to call them - loud European fanbases) drink before a game?

Whats the football drinking culture like in the mainland? And does it affect the atmosphere?
