trabuch Posted 19 January 2024 Posted 19 January 2024 (edited) How have we not scored there? Edited 19 January 2024 by trabuch
Spacey_Fox Posted 19 January 2024 Posted 19 January 2024 Sadly, Aston Villa's secret forcefield around the goal seems to have paid off (could have been magnets) 1
bart Posted 19 January 2024 Posted 19 January 2024 Quite a bit of pressure towards the end, Petermann should have been kept on (unless there was a knock)
BKLFox Posted 19 January 2024 Posted 19 January 2024 Still expect Bristol to sit bottom but hope that don’t come back to bite us
demon_dog Posted 20 January 2024 Posted 20 January 2024 Disappointing result, now means we're looking over our shoulder. The last thing we need is to be locked into yet another relegation battle. We started the season off so well, we've seriously dropped off since then. Questions must surely be asked as to why our form has dropped. Willie must start to question the teams motivation. Come on ladies you are much better than what you are showing us at the moment. 1
SK3Blue Posted 20 January 2024 Posted 20 January 2024 (edited) Can only assume Howard took a knock to get subbed at half time. Villa spent a lot of the game throwing themselves to the floor, Daly and Lehmann, the main offenders but the officials were taken in by it. 2 new signings were off the pace and looked lightweight, would have brought on Palmer myself and given Ava at least 15 minutes. O'brien and Rose still getting themselves up to speed after injury and I think they'll make a difference but defence still needs 2 additions. I would not be surprised to see the manager get the boot if the form continues, they've clearly spent money bringing in players like Cayman, Petermann and Leitzig permanently, and I do think the Birmingham game will be a huge test in the Cup that he needs to come through successfully or else it may be curtains Edited 20 January 2024 by SK3Blue 1
davieG Posted 20 January 2024 Posted 20 January 2024 They seem to have lost a bit of confidence from the KO and took a while to see that they could still get something from this game.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 20 January 2024 Posted 20 January 2024 Home game against Bristol City on Feb 18th is becoming a must win.
Pita Posted 20 January 2024 Posted 20 January 2024 Got to start picking up points. Draws are at least against teams in the bottom half. Other wise we could be in trouble come the end of the season. Bristol is a must win

He openly admitted he didnt know how to handle half time in that Arsenal game and it feels like we havent recovered from that since, horrendous league form now.
Pita Posted 21 January 2024 Posted 21 January 2024 With Brighton in the lead at the moment we are getting very close to the bottom of the league.

davieG Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 OS ‘I Want To Develop & Help The Team’ – Ale’s Ambition With Leicester LCFC WOMEN Versatile defender Asmita Ale has joined LCFC Women on a six-month loan and is excited for what’s to come during this second half of the season as she targets valuable minutes. ByMatthew Temple Asmita Ale Completes LCFC Women Loan Ale this week became Willie Kirk’s third signing of the winter transfer window, having already added Japanese duo Saori Takarada and Yuka Momiki to his squad, before the defender’s arrival on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. An energetic player who can operate in either full-back position, she adds quality, desire and competition to City's defence, as they look to sure things up in the backline and get back to winning ways in the Barclays Women’s Super League. After signing a deal with the Club, the Nepal-born footballer summed up her feelings and spoke about the influence that the Manager had on her decision to move temporarily to the East Midlands. Expand photoAsmita Ale The young defender will offer competition in the full-back positions. “I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to come here and get going,” she said in an interview upon signing. “I’m 22 years old, and at my age, I think it’s important to get some game time and develop as a player. “I had a video call with Willie [Kirk] and it really impressed me, just how much they knew about me and my attributes. Willie had a whole presentation on what he wants from me. They researched into my previous seasons and stats and that gave me confidence. “I think it will be good for me to join Leicester for the rest of the season and hopefully help them out by getting a few more points on the board. I’d say I’m energetic and positive. I’m excited for the new challenge with this team. Asmita Ale “I can play either side of defence at full-back, and he likes the fact I can sometimes come inside, because I’m quite fluid with my play. “I always want to get on the ball and link up with other players, so I think I’ll suit the way that Leicester play. I’ve been watching some games from this season, and you can see that they’ve grown quite quickly.” The former Aston Villa defender joins the Foxes with a mind ready to learn, but also with valuable experience of England’s top division and international football, having represented the Lionesses at youth level. Excited to join up with her new team-mates, Ale hopes she can help the team in any way she can to have a positive second half of the term, and has identified an aspect of City’s game which she aims to improve. Expand photoAsmita Ale Asmita Ale joins the Foxes on a six-month loan deal. “I really like how they’re aggressive and fearless on the ball when they play big teams,” the full-back continued. “I can see that they play with a lot of energy and hopefully I can help them out on defensive transitions because I know that’s an area where Leicester have been struggling. But with another defender on the pitch, I’m hoping I can help with that. “I’m always listening to other players and the feedback they give me. I’ve already met the girls and it went well. I can already tell that I’m going to learn a lot – I’m quite a visual learner so I enjoy training with them but also like to take on feedback. “I was surprised when I got here that the women have so much just for themselves, and I think that’s really important. Especially with weather like this, [it’s beneficial] to have a number of pitches and great staff. “I’d say I’m energetic and positive. I’m excited for the new challenge with this team. I want to develop as much as I can, get as many minutes as I can and help the team out while I’m here.”
TheLittleBigMan Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 Much needed cover at the back. We've done well to get her in.

The Doctor Posted 24 January 2024 Posted 24 January 2024 Rushing into a lead hasn't worked well for us this season but Everton don't care about this dead rubber for them and we can get the arsenal monkey off our backs
