Thought we’d of had some more players out on loan by now. Usually one or two go day before first game but nothing so far.

Makes things easier for me

Hopefully we see some movement for a few of them pretty soon

Wormleighton

Brunt - should probably just sell

Nelson - if not needed for first team

Madivadua - same as Nelson

Maswanhise

I imagine tomorrow could be quite telling for the likes of Nelson and Madivadua if they are involved or not

I imagine Enzo wanted to have a look at all the kids first combined with not knowing who going to leave from the first team.

Not that it means much but Nelson and Wanya have now been listed with the first team squad

Loan transfer rules Leicester City must follow as they look to do deals in final week of window
Leicester City have Callum Doyle and Cesare Casadei through the door at the moment, and there could be more loans to come, but there are rules for them to be aware of

Leicester City have welcomed two loan additions so far this summer, and they may not stop there as they look to strengthen their squad before the end of the window.

Cesare Casadei arrived from Chelsea last week, joining for the season, with Callum Doyle making the move from Manchester City last month. Among others, City have interest in Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Man City’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis, and so more loans could be completed before the transfer deadline in a week’s time. With time running out in the window, loans are easier to negotiate than permanent deals.

City are in a good position to convince clubs, those in the Premier League in particular, to send their players to the King Power Stadium for a season. Under Enzo Maresca, it is clear they are going to have plenty of possession, so for clubs wanting to get game-time for their best talents, they know they can send them to Leicester and they will get plenty of opportunities to hone their ability in possession. Loans also work for City in that they can bring in top-level Championship players without paying significant fees.

The rules state that EFL clubs can have a maximum of seven players loaned in and seven players loaned out at any given time during the season. As mentioned, City currently have two in, but they also have one out, with Nathan Opoku at OH Leuven. Victor Kristiansen is on course to become the second loanee out of the club, with a move to Bologna being wrapped up.

Within the seven City can sign, they can bring in maximum of four from any one English club, of which only two are allowed to be over the age of 23. From any single overseas club, they are only allowed a maximum of three players on loan.

If City were to use their full quota of seven loanees with their signings over the next week, two would miss out each matchday, with only five allowed among the starters and substitutes selected.

City also have to register a 25-man squad at the end of the transfer window, as they had to do in the Premier League, and all loanees have to be named in the senior squad, even if they are under 21. So Casadei and Doyle would fill spots in their 25-man list, but Wanya Marcal, Ben Nelson, and Victor Kristiansen would not.

The club also have to have at least one academy-developed player in every matchday squad, which won’t be difficult for them, with Marcal, Nelson, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Hamza Choudhury, Luke Thomas, Jakub Stolarczyk, and Kasey McAteer to choose from.
