Not sure about that. Here longer yes but could have still botched the rebuild when Kante invenitably did leave now that his stock was even bigger

Don’t know about 16/17 but last season we’d of comfortably finished mid table if we’d of got rid of Rodgers before xmas.

We would have still been stretched with the CL games still diluting our energy for the following pL games but I would have loved to have seen our title winning line up face up to the CL opponents and show exactly what we’d been about although as others have said Ranieri had started to steer away from that anyway.

For me covid killed us as we looked set for top four pre the first lockdown and Rodgers tactics seemed a masterstroke and had we gone on to get CL football, I think we'd have gone from strength to strength.

 

Missing out on the last day just created a weak mentality in the team and a couple of things snowballing ultimately led to our demise.
