One of Leicesters true legends, old school no nonsense player, I have many great memories of Walshie, obviously the silence of the rams but also the equaliser against Arsenal in the Bergkamp hat trick game, to name 2.

He formed a formidable defensive partnership with Matt Elliott and both scored plenty of goals as well.

Bloody hell, Walsh, Elliot and Muzzy all having a birthday within about a week of each other. Must have been absolute carnage in Markfield around this time in the late 90s and early 00’s.

Saw Muzzy and Walshie in the Club restaurant in the old Carling Stand. My missus was infatuated by such company…..it was my birthday….not theirs, bah humbug!
