Barnet back up. I know their fans are pleased they replace Morecambe after a seemingly contrived result with Coventry (surely not?)  years ago sent them down and kept Morecambe up.

Yet another cracking day following Harborough. Emphatic 5-1 win at in form Sudbury to ensure we got in the playoffs. Nice to see Sandro back too, really looked the part in his cameo and he’s a really decent bloke. A few hundred Harborough made the trip and again made themselves heard, can’t believe how much the club has grown this year.

A tough game away at Kettering now but nothing to be scared of.

Brackley promoted to the National League after a 5-0 victory against already relegated Farsely. Managed to pip Kidderminster at the post after they lost at Southport.

Dagenham have survival their own hands after a 6-1 win against Altrincham, with Wealdstone dropping into the last relegation spot after defeat at Southend, who moved into the last playoff spot.

Went Aylestone Park, who absolutely hammered Eynesbury, 5-0. That’s the best I’ve seen them play and the experienced players really made the difference. The other semi final is tomorrow

St Andrews through to the playoffs final as well V Cradley Town coming back from 2 down to win 3-2. Coton Green in the final

I'd back Wealdstone to drop after what I saw of them on Good Friday. Game over as a contest after 20 minutes and they looked absolutely wretched. Completely and utterly toothless all game and never really looked like scoring. They couldn't have complained if Boston had won 4-0.

Watched a lot of Kettering this year (including today), and they are soft as anything at the moment. I've said for weeks that there's very little chance of them going up if they finished in the playoffs.

So pleased Brackley went up, it’s a huge step for such a small club.

Some very useful players in the team and they are a real unit too that plays good football.

Danny Newton was on Vardy’s V9 Academy and you can see it in his style.  He’s a nuisance to defences.

I went to 15 games this current season but annoyingly a family do stopped me from attending yesterday’s match.

Crowds range from 600 to 1700 but realistically the typical attendance is 600-800.

Huge clubs to play next year like Southend, Oldham etc so going to be some test indeed.

Yeah. Honestly think Harbs do it from here. The other three have all been labouring for about three months now.

Good to hear Bedford won’t be taken over now but does mean the crypto boys will be in the South Premier next season

Harborough win 5-1 and in the Playoffs.

Barwell lose 1-7 and relegated.

Was at the Barwell game yesterday and wow they were so poor, Spalding were a class above them on every level. 0-2 down at half time, word then got out that Bishop Stortford were losing, so very all to play for in terms of survival but within 30 seconds of the second half it was 0-3 to Spalding. After that it was wave after wave attack from Spalding and Barwell just couldn't handle them. The problem for Barwell and this typical Ginnelly is the age of squad, most of the players are like 35+ with the youngest player on field about 31. Ironically five of the Barwell players that played, featured in the play off final only two years ago with Nuneaton Borough.

Leroy Lita came on in the second half and was probably the player that made the most impact even though he's about 43 now. Ginnelly gave up at 0-5 and sit and hid in his dugout for the rest of the match. Same issues he had at Boro, just signs he players he knows and plays them even if there fit or not. Glorified pub manager at the end of the day, he's been lucky in the past to have had good coaches by his side.

A couple of ex leicester players playing the legend Liam Moore in the Spalding line up and Ash Chambers up top for Barwell.

Brady Hickey won’t be happy being called 31 🤣

That said Barwell taking some right stick about Ginnelly and his coach Andy something? (apparently bit of a bullshitter)

He won't want to be dropping down a league...

Danylyszyn. Don’t know much about the bloke but he seems to be everywhere, and has a bad rap that follows him. From where I’ve seen his name in the wild and a very cursory google search I can tell he’s been in recent years: Rushden & Diamonds, Gresley, Basford, Nuneaton Borough and Barwell. That’s all in about three years too lol

Tamworth as well. A lot of players critical of him

Could be an interesting summer for non-league in the west of the county. Surely Ginnelly can’t carry on at Barwell who will have to adapt to life at step 4, and presumably lose their best players. Meanwhile question marks over if they’ll even be a Leicester Road FC next season after pretty strong rumours swirling about and talks of playing staff and players all looking to walk now the season is over. Suppose we’ll see, but that’s probably a manager swap made in heaven lol

That’s quite some away support indeed

I do wonder what will happen when their fantastic form tails off and/or LCFC pick up again.

I think we’re on a crest of a wave at the moment for non-league attendances below National League and hopefully none of the clubs are taking it for granted.

The hardcore numbers at Brackley must be about 500-600 judging by run of the mill Tuesday games.  It’s only big games that the floaters turn up and there are no big clubs near here either.

I suspect many that float in are bigger club fans that moved down here (like me tbh).

I’ve been involved in amateur sports (+ my wife helps in sporting charity work) and numbers often capitulate just after everything is going so well.

Good luck to Harborough tomorrow, the NL North is a great league and a real favourite of mine.  Some very big clubs in it and some very small ones too so it’s a real interesting mix.

Just gotta enjoy these moments

Where I am Hallam FC attendances have shot up over the last three years a lot down to SWFC being pants and the Chansiri effect.

Whilst obviously a fair number of Leicester fans follow Harborough as well the fanbase is a real mix. Harborough is the sort of area people move too and has a large amount of London commuters. I really don’t think the attendances will drop at all when Leicester pick up again, if anything they will grow. It’s a new club really in a growing town.
