It's been a decent distraction watching other clubs playing with our loanees.  And having a scan of the respective fan forums to see the general perception of our players.  Cannon worked out nicely in the end. Sheffield Utd fans can't stand him, so we've done alright ultimately loaning him to Stoke first.  On the other hand Hamza seems to have won their fans over by and large.  They're even suggesting him as a purchase despite missing out on promotion.  Nelson a success.  Souttar is 50/50, the unfortunate injury has made it unlikely we can make any money on him now, but our position and his performances at the level we now find ourselves at mean it might work out in the end.

Next season I imagine the loans will be mainly players we want rid of rather than players we want to develop.  Hopefully so anyway.

I think he's won over many of the fans.  It's if they can afford him without Prem money.

Hamza has had a more than decent season in the Championship with Sheff Utd, he will be an asset for us next season. I dont get why many want to see him gone. Rather have him in mid than Soumare, especially if we lose Ndidi.

I’ve no issue with him as a championship footballer. 
 

I’ve a massive issue with him in our dressing room as a person. Alcohol is clearly a huge problem and maybe always will be? We’re going to have a young easily influenced dressing room. 
 

Look how well Harvey has done since removing himself from Hamza’s circle? 
 

He’s one of the many players we need to move on.

Is alcohol clearly a problem? I honestly have no clue.. I know about the driving ban which was dumb AF, but was he just being a dick on that one occasion? I doubt someone with a drink problem would perform to a good standard as a footballer (even if its just the championship) if they were constantly getting shitfaced. 

 

Harvey was performing well at LCFC before he left, he went to Newcastle and wasnt even good at the start, so that one is reaching a bit.. 

 

I dont mind if he is moved on as he isnt good enough for the EPL and i do think for his sake and ours its perhaps best we part ways, but if he stays i will not have a problem with it. Way rather we focus on others we currently have on the 'need to get rid of scale' than Hamza.

Yes but we almost had him gone!  Wilder loves overpaying for poor players. We need money, so anyone who isn't an important player we can get actual money for is a big plus.

I'm fine with him being here next season if he's here but would much prefer to have sold an academy player for £8m-£10m to Shef Utd to help with PSR given he is a limited player, another that's been here forever without progressing

Plenty did back a few years Walsh and his cohorts were renowned for their drinking.

 

Merson and some other Arsenal players were also well known, Merson being an alcoholic.

 

Drinking and smoking went hand in hand with footballers.
