He inherited a strengthening, growing economy from Obama but by the end of his term, many more people were in a worse position amongst the poorest in the States. He never built his 'wall', he basically empowered Putin to extend his ambitions, and wrecked the Covid response in the US. and he still won, why? and what does that say to the other side, why did they lose? Calling peeps stupid, racist, sexist is not going to do anything, people usually vote for what is best for them and their families not for some ideal, that's secondary. 1

Jones can’t compute how a Muslim immigrant cannot vote democrat. so his race and religion is relevant to his point. The issue here is jones’ preconceptions and stereotyping.

Wonder who the best choice would have been amongst the other candidates.

When will people realise calling people thick, stupid, idiots and the rest of it isn't gonna convince someone that actually you're right and maybe they should casting their vote elsewhere. People will just carry on doing so regardless, in 4/8 years we'll be sat here wondering why the 'thickos' have cast so many votes for Reform and for the Tory party. And likely I'll be here posting the exact same thing. A spade is a spade though?
Dunge Posted 6 November 2024 Posted 6 November 2024 People talking about stupidity - It may ultimately not have been statistically significant, but those people voting for a third party candidate or even Trump to punish the Democrats for Palestinian suffering are in for a rude awakening. 1

And we’ve got people who don’t live in the US telling them they’re wrong and they’re stupid? Why is the standard response always people don’t understand what they’re voting for or people are stupid? Happened with Brexit, happened with the Tory victory with Boris, happened both times under Trump. Because when you scratch the surface quite a chunk are stupid (as they are here). I’ve seen inflation brought up so many times, when in reality it wasn’t Biden’s doing, they equate Trump with cheaper fuel and groceries, when it had little to do with either of them personally and was mostly down to market conditions everywhere in the world. 6

Christ.... can imagine you believed Boris when he said inflation was down to global factors. Poster writes that inflation factors in a country have nothing to do with the person running that country.... right after calling people stupid. Brilliant brilliant stuff.

Exactly, its so annoying when the stupid people all vote and get it wrong. Its as if they don't appreciate us clever people using our better educations to try and point them in the correct direction. They also seem to take offence with us pointing out just how stupid they are. But don't worry, the stupid people will only be here for a day or two to laugh at us about this result. Thankfully they will then disappear and we can discuss the important stuff between ourselves again and reassure each other we are the correct ones. 1
grobyfox1990 Posted 6 November 2024 Posted 6 November 2024 Still no word from Kamala? Nothing to thank the thousands of campaigners who have worked tirelessly to advance her agenda or congratulating her opposition. Glad that she's the complete opposite of Trump and is taking defeat so graciously and in an adult-like manner.

No your are right I’m sure, inflation running rampant in every economy in the world wasn’t linked at all to global conditions and just happened to be down to every country having someone in charge who messed up and just couldn’t handle inflation. What are the chances hey… Edited 6 November 2024 by Babylon 1 1

RoboFox Posted 6 November 2024 Posted 6 November 2024 There's plenty of evidence to point to an ideological gap between more and less educated adults and the tendency of the former to take predominantly liberal positions across a range of political values. At least when I call my University of Life graduate friends thickos, I've got the facts to back it up.
