we're a good squad being let down by the worst manager in the division

Do you honestly think weve a good squad?... how many of our squad get into any team in the top ten?

I think our squad is more than good enough for that 12th-16th area, lower midtable. flip it, how many of Everton, Ipswich, Southampton, Wolves, even Brentford would you want?

I think we're a decent club... Mavididi, Faes, Hermansen, Justin maybe,...

Gutting that we've got three of these horrible players this season all signed by Cooper, wherever we are this season don't let him have another window

I get what you're saying, but for me; Ayew is a steady squad player/Albrighton replacement at this level, Reid was free, but I'd have only given him a 12 month contract, if anything, Edouard is a pony desperation signing after we failed in our first 3 choices and fortunately only a loan.

If he genuinely had these players as his ideal signings then that's terrifying, but if we're just trying to patch together an experienced EPL squad on the cheap (with a points deduction looming over us at the time putting players off) then it just is what it is.

If we survive this season then it's done the job and hopefully we stop shopping in the geriatric bargain basement bin. 🤞

So exactly where we are then.

No one would care if Ayew was a squad player.

He’s starting every game, keeping our most promising player and next big sale on the bench.

exactly where we won't be come the end of the season when we're relying on dumb luck to get any points at all and the managers set up invites pressure every game

Fair comment, but that is a logical decision to go for Premier League experience and more of a team player over something of a wildcard at this level based on the managers preference.

A very conservative decision that I don't agree with either, especially not against the likes of Everton & Bournemouth, but still understandable.

Hopefully now the pressure is not as intense he can start being less risk averse.

I definitely want to see Mavididi, Buonanotte & Fatawu together against Forest. 🤞

BDCR walks into the Rhodri or De Bruyne position at Man City for starters. 👀

we won't see that though, we won't ever see that while Cooper is in charge because he's a coward. he can't balance an attack and a defence (which in reality means his midfield set up is wrong, there's no link in the team) so he just won't attack

It’s not conservative it’s just brain dead. Fatawu works his socks off defensively and offers at least something going forward.

Ayew is a known quantity of shit

Hopefully we get to see this pragmatism I've heard about and he rolls the dice a bit more now we have our first win and are out of the bottom 3...

Otherwise hopefully we scrape survival and get rid of him. All is not lost yet either way.

That's a bit unfair. He's a steady 6 every game occasionally a 7 and a very unselfish, hard working team player. Obviously Fatawu has a dramatically higher ceiling, but there's plenty of time to realise that.

I'm sure we were as poor as you all say, but can the conspiracy merchants have a day off?

It wasnt as dismal  as many make out.

It wasnt great dont get me wrong, but it wouldnt normally  justify all the calls for a manager to be sacked.

But 90% of our fans wanted him gone as soon as he signed.

I'm just glad we got the 3 points and pray this is a mental block for him to get over and build on

I agree the only  time we have had any help from VAR we get 3 points . We  could easily have 3 more points  which  would represent a decent start  Frankly comments on here are far removed  from comments  I   hear from out of town support on train and  think  it is much more critical than the fan base as a whole judging by the reception  they  get at most games at the finish
