6 players will not come through the door in January.

Correct . Not a chance

Yep best we can hope is that we just fix the defence with a CB and RB and attacking right winger and pray for winks/ndidi/soumare can keep us up with no more injuries or suspensions and pray we dont see hamza skipp partnership again.

It’s hard because we are weak in all areas. Normally it’s obvious for a couple of positions.

Probably 2 fullbacks and striker with a total different profile to Vardy.

and I suppose a CB but has to be levels about our current crop.

also we need to act quickly, but I am sure we will rudkin it up.

Well lets hope the rumours about Top not trusting rudkin on cooper and taking the initiative on himself to Sack him and appoint RVN are true

and do the same in January and appoint someone else to sort the transfers or even just listen to RVN and do exactly what he wants not listen to Rudkins poisonous advice.

Agree that we will struggle to get in more than 3 this window.

key for me is they must, must improve the first XI and be ready to start pretty much straightaway (no extended bedding in period).

Lots of areas need strengthening but Imagine we will prioritise a right back and new centre back.

Such an obvious one for us to go for especially with how he wants the left back pushing forward and how easily available he would be

Can’t wait for us to go for someone like bloody Matt Targett instead

I agree with this. Reguilon and Lindelof in our back line could really shore things up back there.

Justin (hold hopes he'll come back to somewhat decent form next to a better defender)

Lindelof

Vestergaard

Reguilon

Survive and get though to the summer, sell Faes and replace him with some genuine quality in their early/mid 20s to take JV place in starting lineup, or hopefully Okoli goes second season Soyuncu mode when he's fully settled.

I’m not sure the extent of wilfs injury, or the extent of the fall outs at psv.

But you have to wonder if Ruud would want a reunion with Sangare? He’s not getting a look in at forest so I’m sure they’d cash in.

Hasn't Sangare had injury issues himself, mainly?

No idea mate. That might explain it, but clearly they don’t need him right now.

We had historic interest so you’d think things are lined up nicely to make that happen

I really really want to believe we have got some signings lined up ready for transfer window opening, players got homes ready to move into etc but have we ever done things that proactively?

If they're willing to take a loss on him, cool.  We can't afford to offer what they paid though.

Oh and he's currently injured and has been nearly all season.

Soooooo.... shit.

Why the fxxk would we want Souttar?

Our biggest problem with our defenders is their top speed is basically reverse! Adding another slug, one who isn't particularly great with the ball would be pointless.  Souttar is proving valuable to a club chasing promotion, the thing to do is flog him to them.

We have Soutter. Can't remember how he played last half of 2023.

If Soutter has a recall clause then I think he and Okoli could maybe be a good combination with Soutters ariel strength and Okolis pace. clutching at straws really. This what you get when you spend £15m on each of our central defenders. The Fofana days are long gone. Soutter has 3.5 years left on his contract. Might as well give him a chance as he's going nowhere unless we lose a fortune.

Alexis's brother Kevin has been one of the better performing defenders in Belgium since joining Union SG. A potential replacement for Justin as he can play RB & CB. His underlying passing statistics are actually pretty solid, especially for progressive passing…

Souttar has gone beyond the number of appearances needed to prevent us recalling him. He's Sheffield Utds til the end of the season.  He's done well for them so hopefully they're promoted and want to make it permanent and we can recoup the money spent on him.

Ok thanks for the info. Their is no chance we recoup the £15m spent on him from Shef U  and will probably be paying half of his £50k weekly salary also. If we go down he will stay with us and help us back up.
