That's fine if that's what you want, but when your initial success as a platform is a protest vote, a particular side of the political spectrum, in the long run it won't have a broad enough appeal. At least the more tolerant and dare I say it, grown up Left leaning voices, will remain on X to debate and basically still have the largest social media platform on the planet to say what they want to say..... 

I’m more annoyed that the owner puts his own messages before the stuff I actually say I want to look at. I don’t really want to look at what an egomaniac tells me to see, no matter their political viewpoint.

 

Facebook has been almost as bad in recent months too albeit with just mundane shite rather than pushing political views on you.

 

I think I’d come off all social media if I didn’t need it for work. It’s becoming like most of the print media in that its rich owners hold sway over a degree of editorial policy.

Bluesky chief doesn't know age limit for platform

 

 

The chief executive of the social media network Bluesky - which has exploded in popularity in recent weeks - was unable to give the correct age limit for users on the platform in an interview with the BBC.

While speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live's Breakfast programme, Jay Graber wrongly said you needed to be 18 to use Bluesky, when the actual age limit is 13.

Best thing about BlueSky is the Starter Packs. Great way to follow likeminded people associated with specific and niche interests. Have also found I've randomly been added to some Starter Packs by other people which means I'm getting good quality followers in return. A great idea.

I went to Threads as it was already there, but set up a Bluesky now. Finding people to follow on Bluesky is a pain though. Doesn't seem to do reccomended

I'm sure I'm probably stating the obvious, but the 'starter packs' seem to be a cool way to follow a bunch of related accounts en masse. There are also feeds that people are making.
