I think prime Vardy in 2015/16 was utterly unique. So fast, clinical and turned an average side (along with a couple of others) into a world beating one. Over a short space of time Vardy is in the argument to be the best.

Kane’s goal to games ratio is superb. He has, however, always played with top players. It’s difficult to imagine him transforming a team like Leicester the way Vardy did. I actually think that both Kane and Vardy are sometimes underrated.

Rooney for me was the most gifted of the lot. He had the capacity to be a generational talent. The disappointing thing about Rooney is I really don’t think he quite fulfilled his potential. He really could have been one of the GOATs that people talk about for years, but he’ll be remembered a little by England fans, a lot by Man Utd fans and, probably, largely forgotten on the world stage

BBC article was awful, there was no attempts on goal in their metrics, chances, that sort of thing, obviously he will scored less in the CL when he played way less games than who they were comparing to, very lazy article.

3 very different players all great in their own right. The honours Rooney has are very impressive but let's face it the man played with top players all around him, it was expected.

Kane (Mr PK specialist) is a great talent who likely could have won a lot playing elsewhere. Vardy as well. I respect players who stick to a club though and while I fukin hate the spurs it is shitty for him that he couldn't win anything. Very close on a few occasions

Vardy is a legend and I would never trade him for kane, ever. He just oozes "give me the fukin ball I will smash it in the back of the net". A winner who makes it happen when needed.

You have to choose Rooney of the 3. Can't go wrong with any of these lads though and I think we would have been more than happy if any of them played for us in their primes (well outside of Vardy).

Sad that we have nothing to show for their brilliance at the national level.

If Vardy had played as many games for England as Rooney or Kane and played as a striker (not a winger, Mr Dumbgate!), he would've got more goals than either of them

FACT!

This is pure fact from the fact factory; lovingly engineered, carefully sliced, and then plated in the finest 24ct gold - served up on a fact plate with a diamond fact garnish.

There's so many players that you could say are better than players we had in that title winning team but none any I'd replace them for.

On the other players - people always let what they think of Rooney as a person dictate their feeling towards him as a player. If you hate him then you'll draw upon every stat you can to disprove his ability. He was the best English player I've seen. His ability early on was scary. Kane is the best finisher we have ever had.

Vardy can't really be compared to anyone. He's our best player ever. He is that because of the circumstances we got him and everything falling into place perfectly. Leave the comparisons to shit like Talksport.

I've always said that having watched footie for 60+ years that Vardy at his best was one of the best strikers I have ever seen. Just a shame that it was so late in his career before he came to to fore.

Imagine if he'd been playing at this level 5 years earlier. He'd have been untouchable.

A shame for him but has probably meant we’ve kept hold of him rather than cashing in.

Who is better is up for the debate with the rest of the footballing community. Vardy is our GOAT. I wouldn't exchange him for anyone.

There'll be lazy and uneducated comments about Vardy from the wider community - specifically around the way he plays and his finishing (Owen). We all know that over the years he's managed to adapt his game and his footballing ability is criminally under rated.

Yes Rooney had amazing footballing ability and early in his career in particular he played with freedom unlike many players before himi. Yes Harry Kane is the all time England goalscorer and one of the best goal scorers this country has produced. Neither have what Vardy has though and it's difficult to even describe.
