We might have if only Chelsea didn't step in and buy him. He was clearly an Enzo favourite.

he was above a championship loan if we're honest. McAtee not happening was the bigger surprise, would have thought playing in a championship team playing a man city style would have been better for his development than in one of the worst teams in top flight history in Sheff Utd

Ruud is better than Cooper and we'll have more chance of attracting better players under him than Cooper in January

We've shipped goals under Cooper with Faes and Okoli in defence, the same with RVN partnering Vesty and Coady.

Let's face it we're shit but I am much more optimistic with RVN at the helm than Cooper.

Honestly what class player will want to sign for a club that's 19th in the league?

When Cooper was let go, we were 16th, 2 points above relegation. We are now 19th, 2 points below relegation. That's a net total of -4 points. Cooper didn't dress Ward, RVN did. Cost us a potential 3 points. RVN is a better looking man, and a legend, that's all for now. Wish him all the best coaching this team.

Someone like Bilal.

He signed for us while we still didn't know if we were getting a points deduction and had appointed Cooper.  Players want to play Premier League football.

He wasn't massively in demand before he came to us, it's not like he can walk out on us and get himself a top level job.  It's also not like the Kompany situation because he's not shown he can instill his and prove his methods yet at any level.

Added to the fact he apparently fell out with PSV, if he walked out on us it'd be a massive red flag for any prospective employers.

A player who feels he has potential but wants to be a regular starter, developing skills, gaining experience and (fortunately and unfortunately) putting themselves in the shop window for a big money move to club playing regular champions league football. There will be hits and misses, fan favourites will have to leave, but if the overall result is that we stay up and the books move towards the profitable end of the scale, then let it happen and enjoy the ride.

edited to add: hopefully RVN as manager will be appealing to some decent up and coming players.

Not a chance, He needs to suceed here as much as we need him too.

Unfortunately I think success for us will include relegation and then it will depend entirely on how much the EFL decide to ruin us.

He's been dealt a tough hand with all the injuries, So he can only play what's available. Not ideal.

I think a lot will depend on who he brings in this Window.

I see the rest of this season pretty much as a free hit to sort us out and get us back on the right track.

I'm confident that he will improve things even if it does take a little while to see the turn around.

He should have learned a lot form the top managers he worked under both as a player and Coach.

With a good Window the turn around may  just happen a little quicker.

Agree... this window is key.  Injuries have hit us hard.  But, the biggest problem is the huge cost of having so many player we don't want to start.  The profile of the squad is all wrong and duff players are earning too much to move on.  How did we get here mr rudkin?

I totally agree, That's the problem for Rudkin to resolve and Top should be putting him under pressure to get it done. Especially if he sanctioned the signings.

I noticed a latest news story on sky sports news when I was the gym, it had RVN speaking (in Leicester gear, phew) but the sound was off so I have no idea what they saying. Anyone know what it was about?

Playing Ward cost us game against Wolves and unforgivable. Sooner he’s gone the better

And how many training sessions would he have had Stolarczyk for? Ruud’s barely been at the club, this is such an absurd overreaction. We just played some of our best football of the season this week.

The Hamburg job was there for his taking but he chose us instead.

Shows an incredible lack of judgement.

To then have a pop at the fans makes it truly unforgivable when he should have been apologising

The Kudos goes with doing well in the Premier league.

He may well like the Challenge of taking us back to the top. Where plenty of offers would come his way.

I just hope the Club will have learned from last Seasons mistakes in allowing Enzo get away cheaply.

And if Casedei is the type of garbage he is looking to bring in he can jog on! Clown!

Then play Iverson. A professional manager who can watch our 22/23 season and still pick Ward shouldn't be a manager
