I've no doubt Mads is the better keeper by some margin, but the idea that you can't in someway alter the defence in some way to cover that is just defeatist.

He's already saved us more than that this season. If we're to stay up we need him to keep performing at the same level he has todate.

While Ruud hopefully sorts out the rest of the squad quickly.

Both but us letting in two goals in 2 minutes is so common it doesn’t occur from being bad players it’s their attitude of thinking after letting the first in teams won’t attack us again like their too arrogant to think they will lose while not trying

We were beaten by a far superior side today. Nobody in the bottom half would have lived with Isak, Gordon, Tonali etc. There's a reason the Saudis spent hundreds of millions on these players.

 

I think we can just point out there are too many players that aren't at the level required. I don't think it's any deeper than that.

That’s my point though the players are even inconsistent on whether they try or not. You cannot doubt against Southampton or West Ham or Brighton that fight isn’t their but we just get too many games where the players give up and it normally occurs for the away games they just don’t look arsed for some games

For the people saying we are doing crap this year only because the players aren’t good enough and it isn’t attitude, do you not think last year when we capitulated in 10 mins against cov, lost 1-0 twice to Plymouth and Millwall also capitulated against Leeds all teams the table tells us we are better than. That these awful performances, while some are down to factors like the tactics weren’t also down to the poor attitude from the players to own up instead of getting caught feeling sorry for themselves and getting lazy in matches

Yeh blaming it on the ‘players attitude’ is just an easy modern football excuse. They aren’t good enough, that’s it.

Been a big mentality problem at this club for years. Stems from the top. I don't want to make everything about Ward - he's not good enough and he can't help that, but the fact he's still getting a decent wage, and still getting the odd game for us tells me basically everything about the level of accountability at this club. It's just stagnant.

We’ve bottled Top 4 twice , bottled a league cup semi, bottled Europa x2, bottled the semi final of the conference league and almost bottled promotion all in the last 5 years

 

That’s without including the fact we got relegated with a top 8 budget and squad.

 

We also turned up at our biggest rivals who were a championship side as FA cup holders and proceeded to get hammered on prime time national TV

 

Theirs clearly something wrong here

Agree think players attitude has been poor for a while. Has not helped when management have been same too.  Also feel like we have alot of players who don't want to be here and way to many driftwood in the club. Hopefully ruud is able to get rid and change the attitude soon

And that doesn’t even include all the crap results we have had. We lost 3-2 to a team we were 2-1 up against until the 94th minute, we have had too many last minute winners or equalisers to count. Even last year when it seemed we had a good attitude we let in last minute goals or equalisers against Ipswich twice, against Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry, Leeds and far too often had this crap attitude of us just jogging round the pitch doing **** all when the players don’t feel like it.

The players are no where near good enough. If we don't get in 3 good players in the new year we are done for

The players are shit, the squad is shit. I was always amazed to see how people think this squad was any good and that "a better manager than Cooper" would have us higher up the table. All our defenders are awful, our central midfielder's aren't good enough, our wingers don't contribute enough and we rely on a 37 year old striker to run around all game and score a goal. Take the loan player out of the team and we have limited creativity.

 

The likes of Maddison/Tielemans/Barnes took huge criticism but once they left our squad went backwards about 20 years. Maddison registered 10 goals and 9 assists in our relegated team ffs, we haven't got a player who will reach anywhere near though figures now.

I see those who were adamant that this squad is good enough have suddenly gone quiet. 
 

I got lambasted by a few posters back in August for saying elements of this squad just suck. 
 

The majority of our defence got us relegated last time, while Coady wasn’t wanted by Everton or Wolves. Whether experienced or not, we have a bunch of defenders who are either bang average or poor at this level nowadays. 
 

Still having the likes of Choudhury and McAteer as squad depth is a crime. 
 

January will either make us or break us(Ending in relegation).
