Hitting Hamilton actually helped his race pace.  The damaged flexi wing reduced deg on the front left which is the most vulnerable tyre around this track.

It was also acting like half a flexible wing. You could see the end tip almost touching the ground on the straights, then when he hit the brakes it was several inches higher through the corners. Changed the angle of attack to some degree for sure.

How much pace that gave him back though I don't know.

You have to get tickets for the General admission area , which is a hill overlooking the final corners.  We were sat on a muddy hill, it wasn't a great experience.

We sat at the casino square for practice day and the swimming pool section for qualifying day. Grandstand tickets on race day are expensive.  My mate is going this year and has paid £900.

Goes without saying I can't afford that LOL. Some $90 general admission tickets popped up for quali on the F1 site this morning, went with that.

Definitely do the track walk when the circuit opens afterwards.

Sounds like Tsunoda replacing Lawson already if the rumours are true.

Just in time for the Japanese  Grand Prix.

Have Honda had a say?

That's shit from Horner if they bin him after 2 races. Give him a chance to get to grips with the car at least.

Lawson is laughably out of his depth. And Horner only cares about saving his own skin. So ditching Lawson now makes sense

Honestly think it’s warranted, he’s been awful and looks defeated already. Redbull aren’t in the position where they’ve got the best car anymore, they need a competent second driver. Probably best thing for Lawson too rather than carrying on with this with him getting rattled for half a season, takes the pressure off him and has it go down as a redbull **** up rather than all him

Wouldn’t have thought so they’re going to Aston next year anyway aren’t they?

Yes true but think they are still involved at RB for now ?

And how long will he get ?

Be back for Perez or Ricciardo soon !

Lawson  to qualify ahead of Tsunoda next week ?

No chance..

Looking forward to two fiery characters in the red bull car - should be entertaining. A good chance for Tsunoda to show if he can mix with the best

Costly mistake for Doohan , especially when his seat is already under threat.

Yes nasty crash too .

Hopefully there aren’t any grass fires for for the rest of the weekend to affect things .
