Worst GP of the season so far. Absolutely tedious. I had it on in the background and barely looked up at it after the first pit stops.

Sorry but there's been far worse!

So refreshing to have McLaren at the front as opposed to Redbull or Mercedes.

Is it? No spice in the driver dynamic and winning at a canter every race, it’s at least cool in fact a none factory team winning since over a decade ago though

Suppose the fact both drivers are popular and McLaren a massive team coming back to the top means people don’t mind too much seeing them dominate.

Yeah.

Like they did with Lewis and Fernando they are allowing their drivers to race.

Merc did it with Rosberg and Lewis too.

It’s just nice to see as opposed to RedBull with Max.

Also there’s the fact that McLaren are a proper F1 team and not a beverage company.

Why isn't it? This is a classic F1 team, with two young drivers who have never won the title, no clear no.1, who are allowed to go wheel to wheel in every race. What more do you want, them be allowed to have a NASCAR style crash every race to keep you interested?

Boring race probably boring because Verstappen wasn't involved, A lot of Brits don't like him but he brings entertainment for the sport. It would be so boring without him

get's absolute pelters most weeks but don't see many saying how mature his reaction was when Antonelli wiped him out after the first corner which was a major blow in the championship race

Be good to see him clear up at Silverstone next weekend

I don't like him because he's weird, but I will begrudgingly agree with everything you say here. You are right on all points you make IMO. Also he's an exceptional driver.

Don't want him to win on Sunday but can defo see him doing so.

Essentially your point can be distilled down to wanting more competition from multiple teams at the front.

The fact it is Verstappen at the minute is irrelevant.

umm i'm not sure, a lot of other drivers play it safe and don't push the boundaries as much as Max. The more boundaries being pushed = more entertainment for me personally.

I also don't warm to the personalities of any other british drivers compared to the golden era with Mansell etc.

He certainly brings entertainment, I don't think many would disagree with that.

I'm not sure what your second point is though, are we supposed to praise him for taking a week off from being a petulant child when something doesn't go his way?

I just think he gets slated a lot but then does something which other drivers may react to and he kept his head in a hot situation. I just don’t get all the hate for him personally.

I have watched Hamilton for years and the way he throws his toys out the pram/speaks to his race engineers is not nice at all - but it gets brushed under the carpet. The double standards are the reason I support RB over Mercedes and even McLaren (can’t stand Norris, he comes across as immature)

Anyone seen the new F1 movie yet ?

Been a lot of good reviews.

Way the  film has been directed and shot is very impressive apparently.

The plot a bit far fetched at times but this is Hollywood so not going to be totally realistic .

Yeh I watched it over 2 nights. Plot is quite simple, action is decent. Worth a watch but I didn’t think too much of it

Max would not have reacted the way he did to Antonelli if it was Russell, Hamilton or Norris for starters. Perhaps fair enough if you want to assume he saw it as a rookie mistake which the other three shouldn't be making. It'd be nice to see more of that side of him

and Russell, Hamilton or Norris would have acted in a way towards Max if the shoe was one the other foot. What is your point?

They’ve raced wheel to wheel like once what are you baffling about lol and lando is clearly the number 1, the weekend proved he’ll get the better strategy as long as he starts performing on the Saturday

Strong rumours coming out that Verstappen is going Mercedes

When Red Bull are looking to change the regulations for next year as they're worried they might not be able to complete a lap of Baku at full tilt, I can see why he'd want to go.

It’s going to be really interesting their trajectory in the next couple of years, newey gone, Honda gone, new ownership at the top and their joint most successful driver leaving with a car nobody else seems to be able to drive.

Suspect they're in for a rough time as Max is doing all the work to make RB even look remotely mediocre atm, without him god knows how low they'd be.  As exciting as new regs are for the unknowns, it does tend to lead to seasons like 22-24.
