Same strategy you said Stroll got lucky on FFS lol

Stay calm.

This has been a long time coming for Nico.

Look where Nico finished compared to Lance, bit of a difference.

Okay, McLaren can F off for that.
All 3 of them walked into the corner of the podium spraying eachother and they left Nico on his own none of them celebrated his first podium.

Classless podium. Classless from the 3 up there for McLaren.

Zak wouldn’t have acted that way.

Piastri has been robbed there. Russell did exactly the same thing in Canada and didn't get penalised. At least be consistent with your rulings.

Agree.

For years and years Max took the absolute biscuit at the front of safety car trains or when he was in second etc.

These penalties are so inconsistent.  Piastri getting the same as Verstappen who deliberately crashed into Russell.  I'm a Norris fan but Piastri didn't deserve to lose the race like that.

During comms they mentioned something about why Russell didn't get punished - 30psi - and why Piastri did today?

And then that McLaren would have the date to compare of when Piastri did brake today.

But only had it on laptop so wasn't sure what was concluded or what data McLaren. Presumably we'd have heard of an appeal if it was different favourably compared to that 30psi (?!)

Didn't they say it was >100 psi when Jenson was speaking to Zak post-race?  It was a bit sudden and given the conditions a bit daft given it wasn't exactly before he'd get the jump on 2nd place.  It is ridiculous he got the same as Max did in Barcelona, but the punishments issued are what the rules say, nothing personal as weird as it seems.

These Max/Spain comparisons will never end will they lol best one is Norris getting an even stronger penalty last year in Qatar for failing to slow down as little as 0.1s and in doing so showing that he's being super duper safe under yellow flags.

FTR I don't think this and Russell at Canada was the same, certainly speeds/braking speed. I think it was a bit harsh as they're essentially accusing him of brake checking, why would he be?Piastri was quicker than Max all race, doesn't need to get up to that stuff.

Not enough is being made of Piastri's "if you think the penalty was harsh then swap the positions back and let's race". I thought that was pretty disappointing and would be spoken about a lot more if a select few other drivers had said it and not someone who is something of a media darling

@The Blur get wet?

Absolutely drenched but loved all drama today.   I ended up in The Vale and managed to caught some of podium celebrations.   Would love to go back again next year.

Was surprised how many Aston Martin fans I saw today.   I know they are British manufacturers but I thought the combination of Strolls and other British drivers on other teams would have whittled down their numbers.

Did I mention Abu Dhabi '21?

Thing that got me, why did we get a safety car for wet? Not one of the cars were on full wets, I would understand if they were all spinning out while on full wets, kind of makes the wets pointless if they can't wait until the weather gets wet enough for them before the safety car comes out.

Unless I was too drunk and missed them going full wets.

Full wet tyres are a myth, they don't exist. It goes dry tyres, inters, SC, red flag

Too much standing water and lack of visibility. It was dangerous to have all the cars going at full speed, as we saw with Hadjar running straight into the back of Antonelli because he just didn't see him through all the spray.

Yeah, I’m a big fan of Oscar and that’s one of the silliest things he’s said, and proves that the “man has no emotions” stuff the media like to circulate is a load of bs. Anyway, was pleased to see him say it wouldn’t have been fair on Lando after the race. Probably one of those heat of the moment things because he was fuming. You make a very good point though. Lando would have been slaughtered for that comment!
