Yes, same, how anyone thought this squad is any good is beyond me. It wasn't a great squad when we got promoted and then we never added any quality to it in the summer. I said all summer our target should be 17th and I did believe Cooper would have achieved that.

Part of that is a lack of awareness about other clubs. Ive seen Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham and Palace described as crap on here and they quite obviously aren’t. No Premier team is easy to beat any more which is why the promoted teams get relegated. Instead of being condescending about these clubs we should be looking to learn from them.

 

Their underlying finances are little different- but they are all massively better run..

Their finances will catch up with them eventually I think, just like they did us.  You can get away with it for a few years, but then the player wages demands and transfers catch up with you, and your stadium income is simply not enough to compete.

Don't think it's fair to just assume all the others will have a huge drop off like we have. Some drop off perhaps but this idea that ours is normal and inevitable is part of the reason the likes of Rudkin have survived. It's entirely their own doing - for consistently bad economical decisions.

Cant see that happening at any other club, let alone several.

Spot on .... finances are massively important... but more importantly is how they are managed.... ours are so poor its beyond belief
