Stop idolising then to begin with is my advice.

And try to steer your kids away from idolising mostly vapid multimillionaire footballers as well.

That's good advice, I wish I could.

That saying about love being close to hate comes to mind.

Imagine poor Oliver Skipp just trying to grab some toothpaste and suddenly he’s getting a lecture from some middle aged bloke in a replica shirt

Why did I picture him walking round Home Bargains in his subs bib?

Probably got the last tube of Colgate taken off him.

If you're not sure how to support the players, thats fine.

The alternative isn't to harass them as civilians, though.

Are you sure it isn't? We have tried most things.

I think harass them outside of work would be at the bottom of ''tried most things didn't work'' list

Make your opinion known from the stands, and if you really hate us don't go to the game at all.

Regardless of what you think of the performances, I don't think the idea of sticking it to someone who is bereft of any confidence is a good idea, and doesn't benefit anyone.

I am actually quite sympathetic to the idea of following Danny Ward around and harassing him as he goes about his daily chores.
