What little chance we have of any revival ain't happening under RVN so why is he still in post? His record since coming here is abysmal....we've barely put up a fight.

We aren't staying up. We don't have an appropriate interim at the club (before anyone even thinks it, it wouldn't be fair on any party to ask King to do it) and bringing one in costs more money.

So we're effectively giving up?

Ruud received no backing and was lied to by the board. What is a new manager with no window and no backing going to do at this point? stop chopping and changing managers constantly :D

Ruud has given up, Top is still very adamant survival is the goal. But he can’t run a bath, so in short, we’re ****ed.

I'd barely describe him as a manager. He completely lacks any skills in management.

My point is if anyone carries out there job as poorly as Ruud has they get fired....simple as....no if's or buts....don't give me we can't afford to because the way I see it you could argue we can't afford not to.

Got a couple of results at the start. Leopards don't change their spots. New manager =  same players

It's impossible to stay up if your players have no interest whatsoever in even attempting to do so. And ours don't, so we're down.

Loads of clubs have changed managers and the same group of players have performed better under the new manager...it's happening at Everton at the minute.

How can we just accept that and not do anything about it?

Everton have never been relegated. Their players aren't ANYTHING like ours because they fight until the final whistle of the final matchday.

What are you going on about seriously? Its OVER.

Maybe change formation? A different style of play? Play different players? Bring the youth through and give them a game? Or use his contacts from his time at PSV, Holland and Man Utd to try and bring in an overseas loan where we pay no or little wages towards it? Or just even try and encourage the players we already have rather than looking downbeat and miserable at the side of the pitch with his hands in his pockets?

But hey! What's he supposed to do?

We're five points adrift. Of a team who have scored more and conceded less than us to boot.

If you don't think that's much, we need nearly a point every other game more than Wolves when we haven't even scored a goal in 400 minutes.

We're 15 points adrift of 16th. Everton and West Ham could almost certainly both lose all their remaining games 10-0 and stay up.

We're in a knife fight for one surviving position and our players have no confidence left and almost none of them have any fighting spirit, we know this because plenty of them were here two years ago when we limped out of the same league in the same way.

There probably is a manager in the world somewhere who could fix it but not one who is available, willing and on the radar of our club's football intelligence.

It's done, mate. You'll have happier spring and summer if you just make peace with that now.

The window's closed so the loan player is a moot point. Players are scumbags, I'd imagine he's tried to encourage them (see previous posts about this crop). He's tried different players at the back, and in attack, all rubbish.

So really the only valid point you've made which is one I've also agreed in the past with, is changing formation/style. Go five at the back and start from there by just playing the most disgusting defensive game ever. We won't score but we're not scoring anyway. Wouldn't be sacking him when you break down that's the only valid criticism.
