Can someone with a digital season ticket tell me how it works?

Friend of mine has downloaded his season ticket, it went straight into his wallet, and there’s no visible QR code.

Son is new. Myself and dad renewed but we have relocated. Were told my dad would need a new card due to change in seat, son’s will be first one

If on iPhone, tap the three dots (…) in the top right corner of screen and go to ‘Pass details’. The QR code is in there.

First time having a digital season ticket and am not sure how it works. Have downloaded the season ticket with my seat on etc into my Wallet but it doesn't show the details for the first match? How do I get this? Do I have to download something else for each game?

As long as it’s in your wallet that’s all you need to do. The ticket will update before the games.. if when the fixture comes out the qr code ain’t in there, click the three dots at the top and select pass details and it’ll show..

I was thinking of screenshotting the pass for the first game, to see if a screenshot works.  Obviously if it doesn’t then I can access my wallet, but it would be useful to know if screenshots work, for passing on to other people in future.

Having been forced to have a digital season ticket.

 

Am I correct in thinking, what you are suggesting is. If you screenshot you insert your phone under a scanner on the gate with the QR code showing to see if it works?

 

Assume normally to use NFC you just hold your phone upto the pad as you have had to previously with the cards.

Yes, I want to see if a screenshot works, because then I’ll know I can send a screenshot to someone else, if they’re coming in my place.  But realistically I’m not sure it’s a good idea to faff around at the turnstile because there’s always a massive queue.

Based on the last few previous cup games I’m expecting fairly substantial queues on the first game

I have a season ticket for the first time this season and was expecting to have to make a call or get guidance but checked this morning and it has updated to show sheff weds game, kick off time etc.  So it would seem all is in order and just scan at turnstile.  Less faff than i thought it would be in truth.

Log in to your account, click on your profile in top right hand corner. Click on tickets then season tickets, should then give you the option to download.

Still might not be available yet. I’ve got one of mine but my boys still ain’t available. Phoned the ticket office who said could be another couple of weeks due to the sheer amount being sent out

I've just had my 2 emails - quick question, can you have 2 season tickets on one phone? Would prefer to have mine and my old man's on one phone, but just wanna see if anyone else has done this?

Yes, just scan one ticket & let you dad go through, then swipe your ticket & go in. This is the way most adults with kids go in, some have multiple tickets on one phone.

I'm new to a Digital Season ticket.   

But I've noticed that the qrcode for the first match, appears to be changing approximately every 24 hours.   Implying that the "dynamic qrcode feature" is active.

According to someone who posted earlier, a person at one of the Club meetings didn't even think they were using dynamic qrcodes!

So is it permanently set at dynamic?  If so, how often will it change?  Whatever it's set to at the moment, will they change it at short notice?   Who knows?

 

(the cynic might say that this "lack of transparency" is deliberate, and designed to make sure no one knows what's going on)

I don’t know if it’s changing as I haven’t looked but this notification at 00:30 every single night is getting very annoying
